"never say never"
unless compression of HIGH QUALITY video is better, digital downloads are the far future but they will only be an option. i don't think it will replace hard media anytime soon. maybe in 15-20 years when the entire world has fibre optic lines running to every home
either way it's a win for Sony... so be my guest to include Blu-ray or not.
oooh, dl it right now... i wanted this game since it first appeared
and now we have LittleBigPlanet
my 160 should suffice but damn, 500GB is pretty sweet being in a 2.5"
w.t.f is this?
a retarded fanboy having nothing else to do. what a waste of sperm that person is.
and this confirms almost the entire japanese PS2 owners will pick up a PS3 as we approach FFXIII release. if SE announced FFVII remake with current gen tech it will be like the hiroshima bomb all over again in japan
with the news that the cell and blu-ray diodes are cheaper to manufacture now i think sony has enough room to do a price cut as well.
all in all, the consumer wins.
i wonder what they'll do with the full game. have a full game and also a disc that the prologue owners can upgrade to for a cheaper price?
it's pretty much a testing ground for its online component, or so i've read. but it doesn't detract the fun or enjoyment for its fans and so i don't think they look at it as a demo. who knows.
what about North America? I know Canada just had a recent price cut. Hopefully another one
i agree with both of you. this gen might not end up with 1 platform being predominate. i think it will be split rather evenly, which is awesome
when Nintendo or MS sell 120Million consoles and be #1 for two straight generations THEN it's fine to boast. At the moment it's way too premature.
many governments and scientists will agree about the processing power of the Cell and if utilized in the right way it is a serious processor and one that Intel and AMD should consider looking into its type of architecture to overcome their bottleneck.
if coded right it could lessen the lag on a game by distributing information independently to each of the cores. that's if it's coded right and we don't know what IW has done with it.
the Cell isn't in the Guiness Book ...
that's considerate of them. most businesses wouldn't do such thing. i wonder what will happen to those players? scrap parts or something?
i'll pick one up after they fix their hardware issues. no way am i going to spend even a dollar on something this unreliable. hopefully they can have the problem solved as soon as possible.
i wonder what sony will do after hearing this price cut news.
you have no interest in JRPG's yet you have no life but to come on a FF news thread to state your opinion? lame.
oh so you actually agree that the 360 is the only one with different SKU's with different hardware. good to see you aren't as bias as you usually are.
owning a format rakes in BILLIONS. they get royalties for EVERY disc pressed even blank ones, players, movie industry.
