Cliffy B aka Nostradumbass strikes again. It's business 101...in order to thrive, you must evolve. Studios have to change with the gaming landscape. Evolve or die. That is life. Nobody is going to shed tears for some company exec who no longer gets to drive his lamborghini to the office. You know these folks are out of control when games sell copies in the millions and somehow "underperform" according to the suits.
Plus you get 3 free indie titles at launch as well, I believe.
I'm definitely more of a single player guy. I like to enjoy games at my own pace, and I tend to do a lot of exploring in a game world. Sometimes when playing with others, some want to rush right through and miss things I would like to experience. I think it's definitely a positive that Ubisoft includes the option of single player if only because you don't want any game to solely have to rely on the experiences you have with other players to determine your level of enjoyment in ...
You ain't lying. I was lukewarm on the next gen before E3. After E3, I can't wait to play Watch_Dogs, The Division, Destiny, Battlefield 4, Killzone Shadow Fall, and Infamous Second Son.
Who doesn't favor the PS4?
You get drive club free. I think Sony said some features on drive club would only be accessible if you bought the full title, but I have to assume most of what the game has to offer will come free.
What's a hotcake?
It's difficult for any company to keep a game series fresh. It happens to all of them, without fail. Especially when you start pumping out sequels on an annual basis.
Well, there is no way I can trade in my PS3 now, I'm playing The Last of Us and expect to be playing Beyond:Two Souls and GTAV unless I buy that title for my 360. I don't want to trade in my 360 yet because my live gold subscription doesn't expire until mid December and I really don't want to waste six months of that subscription (there is no way in hell I'm renewing it or buying an Xbox One). I'm really hoping that they will still be offering decent prices for trade...
Ubisoft has earned plenty of cred. They keep pumping out quality new IP's, so they have more than earned some leeway. Watch Dogs and The Division look incredible and are two of my most anticipated for this year and next.
I'm going to be honest here folks. I'm kinda surprised Microsoft did not come out with an announcement saying their games would now increase in price to 69.99. Sixty nine seems like the right number for what they are trying to do to their customers. Or maybe 68.99, they don't seem like the type to reciprocate.
Creatchee, you say Microsoft is targeting gamers and non gamers, and that may be true, but it's not like the PS4 won't have many of the same functionalities that the One will, other than switching between live tv and your game. And considering some folks, such as myself, already control their A/V setups via a laptop, tablet, smartphone, and/or smart TV, that makes what Microsoft is offering moot because we already have that functionality customized with proprietary apps that function...
I chuckled recently when some Xboner's said that with the direction Microsoft has chosen to take with drm, always online, and the cloud that would allow them to sell the games for less. A good chuckle indeed. Especially considering Microsoft is selling a less powerful hardware system for 100 dollars more than their competitor. Not to mention the fact xbox live gold is ripping people off and has been for years now compared to what PSplus offers, not to mention Sony not charging to acces...
Hahahahahaha..Microsoft is desperately trying to spread some news that doesn't paint the Xbone as complete and utter horseshit. It's not working.
Yes, it is unacceptable.
Great..Titanfall..Cod with mechs. Yeah. What a step forward for gaming.
Sessler's lost his voice in his excitement! Love that guy. His enthusiasm for gaming is genuine and I have to say he is the reviewer I trust most in the industry.
PopRocks359, you do realize that the quality of streaming high def is still far below the quality of a blu ray, don't you? And you realize that when you pay for and stream a movie, you get none of the special features of a blu ray nor can you watch the movie at any time in the future at your leisure? Oh, you poor, dumb bastard. P.S. what genius told you DVD's are 720p? Your ignorance is appalling. Go to bed, and pray you awake with a new head.
And those "average consumers" will be returning the Xbox One in droves once they find out the backwards policies of the device they just brought home. Case closed.
How's that bs cloud computing angle Microsoft was working looking now? Hard to have "the power of three xbox one's" (hahahaha) in the cloud when many of your customers won't be internet connected. The other strange thing is still having to initially hook the console up to the internet for it to start functioning. WHAT? How many years and how may millions did Microsoft spend in research and development for this console only to effectively and utterly neuter whatever s...
