Pisque, Microsoft shouldn't have to come back, that's the problem. They figured they could stick it to gamers and we would swallow their bs hook, line, and sinker. Nope. Sony made mistakes with the PS3, and has come back full force with the PS4. They have yet to put a foot wrong. Microsoft got really cocky with their lead in the US market, and they are paying a heavy price for their arrogance. Just as Sony did early in the PS3's lifecycle. I have no doubt Microsoft will reb...
First folks want to believe the cloud is "like the power of 3 xbox one's" because some bs bozo marketing gasbag on the stage says so. Now, they are deluding themselves into believing that a corporation that has already stated it's system specifications is going back to the drawing board out of desperation and will increase ram this late in the game? Development stage is over folks...it's approaching production time. Orders have to be placed many months in advance from su...
No.
This game looks good.
Sony creates excitement...Microsoft creates panic.
Is it me, or does Randy look a bit like Smeagol in that pic?
No.
Badboycivic and malokevi, we want our gaming machines to you know, play games. We already get apps and TV everywhere else. I have a nice setup that I control with my tablet and my smartTV so Microsofts box offers me nothing I don't already do much better and in more detail than anything they will offer. I realize that many consumers are not in the same position, and the apps/tv thing might be more appealing to them, but anytime a manufacturer states that 3 of it's 8gb's of ram ...
Malokevi, what Sony has done is price the PS4 closer to their actual cost for the unit which means they will not make a ton from unit sales per say, but they hope to make that back on PsPlus and other avenues. They will make less per console than Microsoft, but will probably sell more units thereby ensuring a larger install base which will allow them to recoup money via other avenues in the near future. Microsoft, on the other hand, is pricing their console to make more profit up front, wit...
Yeah, I doubt to see a price cut within the first year. That would be an astounding admission of failure on Microsoft's part and would no doubt piss off early adopters. They will wait and see how many suckers they can soak at 499 before dropping the price.
Uhhh..just the opposite buddy. The rumors are that Microsoft is having to underclock the Xbox One due to overheating issues. This has led to many speculating that we could see games that run on the PS4 at 60fps run at 30fps on the Xbone. That is verifiable with a simple online search, unlike the bs you've managed to release from your misinformed mandible. Sony's engineering has never been anything other than rock solid. Microsofts history is far more dire concerning reliability, ...
You are woefully uniformed.
SuperLupe sounds like the typical fanboy who has no idea on the games he's missed out on this generation. Ignorance of a subject is no excuse. Educate yourself. Sony's first party studios have produced several games that are considered the very best this generation has to offer. Just because you can't play them, don't get sore buttocks over it.
Don't worry, it's coming. Check out Gamescon and TGS. Sony has done just about everything right up to this point, and they are staggering their news on game releases to continue to ramp up excitement and interest as PS4 draws closer to the launch date.
The correct answer to the question in the headline is no. PS4.
Said the easily duped consumer.
How would you know? The gaming public hasn't seen this game running on Xbox One hardware yet. The smoke and mirrors show Microsoft put on at E3 is still fooling some folks, I see.
Yeah. And I'm gonna try and win the lottery. Microsoft and I will have similar levels of success.
NatureofLogic makes a very valid point. I myself fully expected Microsoft to throw money at the problem and ensure they would have technical superiority this upcoming gen, but they went in a completely different direction. I was surprised, but pleased, at Sony's direction and the specs under the hood. I'm skeptical of any cloud processing being touted by Microsoft at the moment, I can't see how that is going to make up the gap in the specifications, but we shall see. One thing...
Hercules189, any processes offloaded to the cloud are subject to lag, so only non latency dependent functions will be assisted by that process. It will help somewhat but it's not going to make up for the technical deficit that the Xbone is facing versus the PS4.
