I got a ps5 secured through best buy store pickup. I got a series x release day delivery through amazon. If I had to bet on one to be there on actual launch day, it would be bestbuy....amazon has a tendency of claiming delays in shipment when they get busy.
Either way, if I get both at launch, or neither, I won't be upset, I'm just thankful I was able to navigate the madness of these atrocious preorders to have a chance to play some games I'm looking forward t...
@enkikduxiv
I think it's more people downvoting the "forced" part....no one is "forced" to buy an expensive game console from scalpers. In fact, people should very specifically NOT support this behavior, that is the only way it will change/end.
Kratos can enter whenever the hell he damn well pleases.
@majorlazer
If only the anti-mask idiots were the only ones to suffer from covid. What a better world that would be. Smarter world, too.
@esemce
When you're as foolish as you are, best to keep your mouth shut. That way, your brain farts will only leak out through your ears.
@the_sage
You sound like the dumbest critter alive.
@aragon
I'm with you guy...I was fortunate to secure a ps5 and series x preorder and as someone who has always owned multiple consoles, but only went with the ps4 this gen skipping the xbox one, gamepass is really the thing drawing me back in. There will be a large catalog of Microsoft games I haven't played, and I look forward to it. If I was forced to choose one console, it would be ps5....the exclusives are second to none. But this world gives you choice, and if you are...
@chocoburger
I feel similarly, as I've never played an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game. Personally it's not affecting me but I recognize it as a massive deal for the industry. What I think is a much bigger deal is now it's possible that all of the previous games in those series will come to gamepass at some point, and all the new first party titles will come to gamepass as well. That is value that is hard to argue against. If you are someone who likes playing those game...
@dirtY
I think you mean western rpgs son. The east still makes some pretty fantastic ones. Europe ain't bad either....I'm getting ready to enjoy Cyberpunk shortly and the enhanced for next gen Witcher 3 after that.
@banditking
What do you expect from the low intellect brigade. Notice how it always seems to be Sony vs Microsoft, as if Nintendo doesn't exist. Of course, this is a huge deal for Microsoft. But Sony and Nintendo have always delivered fantastic exclusive games. If they continue to do that, they will be fine.
Black Myth: Wukong has got to make the top fifteen........
I would also probably add Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice and The Invincible, though we don't know much about that last one.
Stalker 2 anyone? Resident Evil Village? I think I would have to take Godfall out of that list for one, but I don't want to disrespect that game, I just don't know that much about it. There are a lot of pretty good announced titles for next gen so far, and I didn't list game...
I feel ill.....
That is insane. Here's hoping they can produce quality with those 23 and not just quantity. This upcoming gen is looking delicious.
Best buy got me with the ps5, Amazon salvaged me with series x. I just hope launch day isn't a disaster, with stores/sites claiming they didn't get in enough stock. That would fit 2020 perfectly.
I agree with you.
@crimsonwing69
I agree. As a multiconsole and pc gamer, I always look at it from the perspective of if you want to play the games badly enough, you will buy the devices that allow you to play the games you like. For me, Sony has more of the exclusives I love, so ps5 is no-brainer. I'm also getting a series x, but mostly because I skipped xbox one this gen so on day one gamepass has games there that I haven't played this gen. It's funny how people keep saying this deal...
@vanfernal
Yes that is true, but the Middle East is vast. There are many more places that don't have jack shhhh, and are impoverished, compared to the wealth of the city centers. There is a lot of economic devastation in much of the middle east.
@doge
What neutralgamer1992 says is very true...even in the USA, approximately 25-35 percent of people in rural areas still rely on dial-up to connect. In other parts of the world, getting a consistent connection, much less speeds acceptable for game downloads or streaming, is a pipe dream.
I'm really wondering how many consoles both Sony and Microsoft allocated to retailers. Where is the cut off? Did gamestop get 8 consoles per store (as some who showed up in person to buy suggested), did best buy get 30? Who got what? I don't know what's going on, except that at pretty much all sites it was crash city.
@enkiduxiv
I don't foresee that happening, simply because it seems like both Sony and Microsoft are severely limiting the number of consoles they are allocating, which is why getting a preorder was damn near impossible. Reports are some stores are only getting a few units. At this point doesn't seem to be a lot to go around....maybe those numbers will increase in the next month to month and a half, but it's going to be tight. It seems like retailers are really in fact ...
