The consoles are in nondescript boxes....the drivers would have to open all boxes in the truck of a particular size, then have another item to put in the box, which means opening a lot of packages in the truck, which they don't have time for because the movement of the trucks is tracked by gps.
If packages are being opened, it is happening at the sorting/packaging facilities, with people stealing the devices from there before they get boxed, and re...
I. Would. Be. Very. Upset. You get excited that you are one of the few who actually is getting a console at launch, and a toaster shows up instead. It's enough to make a grown man cry. Or start laughing hysterically. With the shortages, who even knows when these gamers will get replacement systems. Maybe not until 2021, and that would suck.
Hahahahah...welcome to the sh*tshow! I was gutted early on when ps5 pre-orders sold out in the USA, happened to wake up at about 2:15 am and try just for giggles, and somehow, after almost 10 hours of being available and selling out online everywhere, I refreshed, refreshed, refreshed cart, confirmation, and payment pages multiple times each and managed to secure an in store pickup from best buy. Picked up the ps5 in store on the 12th and have been loving it since.
I also...
@necrumoddboy
Get yourself a quality streaming device (if you can) and never look back. I would recommend the nvidia shield pro.
The numbers are pretty much meaningless at this point....I'm fairly certain that if Sony and Microsoft could produce 8 million consoles in the first month, they would both sell out. I was fortunate to get a ps5 from best buy in store pickup, but my amazon series x pre-order was delayed until who knows when. The demand is there at launch for both consoles, especially the ps5, but the production is not nearly enough to meet the overwhelming demand.
It's disappointin...
I'm swiping, I'm swiping, but the girl in the pic isn't responding.
I liked Horizon as a game and I liked Aloy as a character....a lot. That being said, as a mature gamer I prefer more mature themes in games, and Horizon (and Aloy as an extension) is a game/character meant to appeal to a wide demographic, both kids and adults alike. Kratos grew into a playstation icon.....he wasn't created to be that from the start, where I feel Aloy was intended to be a champion and a beacon, particularly to women/young girls, and that is how the character is written. ...
You joke, but there are people dumb enough to pay the asking price.
Those next gen specific console features likely won't be coming until the next gen update for Cyberpunk in 2021. Hopefully sooner in 2021 than later.
@speakxthextruth
Why would I send you a thing? Unlike you, I have no need to "prove" anything, certainly not to the likes of you. Your comment is typical for your kind....lots of hot air, very little substance. If you had the capacity to read and understand what you read, you wouldn't be saying "let's see who really has a ps5 and a series x", as I clearly stated what I had in my comment. What a numbskull. Good luck with that.
@speakxthextruth
Your words belie your username.
I'm going to assume you're still smashing buttons on an xbox one controller, and have neither ps5 or series x. Having said that, if you did manage to secure both at launch, congrats....I got a ps5, but my series x never shipped from Amazon. Hoping to get it in the next few weeks, but we will see. The ps5 has run flawlessly for me so far, knock on wood.....
Yikes.
Funny thing....a typo on playstation landing site and a typo in the headline of the article? Kena: Bridge of "Spirts"?
If they do, you'll likely have to wait for the ps5/series x update in 2021 for that.
@instantstupor
You beat me to it, probably by a few months....Andromeda is still in my backlog, but it's moving it's way to the top of the pile at warp speed. I actually stopped gaming for about two-three months mostly because I got very busy, but also waiting to resume gaming on ps5. The ps5 arrived and I'm back in something fierce. Feels great.
Good.
Here's a better alternative....having the charging station right next to my theater chair, within arms reach, and when I want to game, I simply reach over and pick up a fully charged controller. When I'm finished, it goes right back in the dock, without me having to get up, plug in a cable, and charge from the console. Ease of use is a wonderful thing.
@solidsnake222
Yes, absolutely. There is no going back to usb charging after this for me.
I second that opinion. Well made, easy to use, stylish, and priced well.
Sitting in my av rack, the ps5 looks like a modern art building design, rather than your typical rectangular electronic device design. I like it. It's like a sculpture...I even appreciate the lighting, both when the console is on and off. Beautiful. Oh, and the games are pretty good too. This gen should be awesome.
