Never bought a Witcher game before though I have heard good things about the series. This game may be my first foray into the world of witcher. It looks fantastic, hopefully it is as involving a world to immerse yourself in as I've heard.
Have you even seen The Division, Infamous Second Son, or Destiny?
The Division, Destiny, Watch Dogs, Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadow Fall, The Order 1886. Those are the games that have my attention for next gen and at this point will be probable purchases for my PS4. I'm sooooo looking forward to GamesCon to see how many new titles will be revealed at that event. After that, my anticipation will turn to TGS for even more Sony goodness. I am also looking forward to the free psplus indie titles and DriveClub psplus version, which I'm sure I...
I was sold on the next generation when I laid eyes on The Division, Destiny, and Infamous Second Son. Killzone doesn't look too shabby either.
Everything Sony is doing is their biggest advantage.
I think Ellie is the best character in The Last of Us and I don't think it's even close. That little girl is awesome. She's tough, smart, brave, funny, and loyal. There is absolutely nothing in her character not to like or admire. Ellie is one of the best characters in gaming, male or female.
4k is highly overrated. The human eye cannot perceive the difference between 1080 and 4k unless you have a screen size above 75 inches or sit less than 4 feet from the screen. It's not that big a deal folks. Just more marketing hype. Sorta like the push a few years ago when retailers and manufacturers tried to convince consumers 3d was the future and something you absolutely had to have. 3d is a novelty, at best. Same with 4k. I'm much more interested in organic light emitting ...
ape007, how do you know both are doing extremely well in console sales? You have no idea how many units Sony or Microsoft has made available to retailers, or if they will be able to meet the demands at launch. Taking a preorder is alot easier than fulfilling a preorder. I hope Microsoft eventually removes it's head from it's prodigious and formidable ass, but I'm not going to hold my breath. It's a PS4 at launch, and if Microsoft ever figures out how to offer a next gen co...
Once I saw The Division running off PS4, I was sold. Completely. Destiny was fantastic, as was Infamous Second Son and Metal Gear Solid V. Killzone looked promising, as did The Order:1886. I'm also looking forward to the projects in development for the PS4 from Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Quantic Dream, Guerilla, etc. etc. What exactly is not to like? This author appears upset because there is no leap like the transition to blu ray from dvd or high def from standard def. Those ...
I'll tell you what...when I saw The Division running I was floored. I thought it was a CG trailer when it started, then it panned down to show the character from just behind his back and gameplay started! I was stunned! If games are looking that good this early, it really is frightening to think of what Sony's talented first party developers will pull out of the PS4 in a few years.
I'm very concerned. Games like Destiny and The Division have the potential to turn me into a complete hermit, never to see sunlight again.
Well, it's already been stated that the PS4 versions of games like The Division, Destiny, and Watch Dogs will get some additional content not available on other platforms. That is promising.
That's the way I always felt about Halo. There was no weight to the weaponry, no heft. I hope Destiny is different, because it looks phenomenal. I did not get the feeling you got from The Division, however. Everything they showed looked just right.
Microsoft would only anger gamers further by delaying the console. They already have a pr disaster on their hands, but to infuriate those gamers who despite Microsoft's shortcomings pre-ordered what appears to be a confused console would be galling. Delay for what? To get their act together and offer more hardware performance? That ship has sailed. They are not going to eat hundreds of millions in development cost to go back and upgrade the memory and gpu/cpu to give the ps4 a head s...
The funny thing is the xbox demos WERE runny off high end pc's at E3.
Hard to get that excited Halo or Sunset Overdrive without seeing gameplay. When I see Halo in action, then I'll be excited.
Sure, if you want to spend big bucks for a nice pc, go ahead. Then tell me where are the games that utilize the specs you've just purchased. They don't exist. Developers don't spend millions to develop for the few who have these high end setups. That is why you don't see games that look so much better for these pc's. No developer is going to push that hard for an install base that pales in comparison to the consoles. It won't happen. Which is why the pc specs do...
These people who only know Xbox don't know gaming. It is obvious from their uninformed comments. You have to feel sorry for them. As the owner of a 360 and a PS3, there has been no contest between the two platforms over the past 3 years. Sony clearly has the better first party titles. That is just the way it is. To rant and rail against it is like denying the sun is a burning ball of plasma gas and we instead get our light and heat from the moon. It's nonsense. And for anyone ...
Personally, I would love to see the next Uncharted and the next God of War. I'm really curious to see what those games would look like on the PS4, and how the gameplay could be evolved with the new hardware and DS4. I'm sure we will see plenty of new Ip's from Sony's first party developers (The Order 1886 looks promising), but I also need my fix of the games that I have come to love. Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica are talented enough and large enough to work on more than...
The Last of Us is miles ahead of where The Walking Dead is as a game. I loved The Last of Us. Ellie is one of the best characters in gaming, period. She is loyal, strong, courageous, smart, and funny. There is not one character in The Walking Dead the game that comes close to Ellie. I like The Walking Dead, but to compare it to The Last of Us is ridiculous. Playing the survival playthrough of The Last of Us actually induces fear when you enter a room and have no idea how many, or where,...
