As long as you are ok playing the inferior versions of most of the best games, that would be fine too.
As far as consumer experiences Xbox. A great year for Xbox Owners. The UI/UX saw a significant overhaul to make it the best in the industry as far as a gaming OS. They added significant value without any cost with Backwards Compatibility games, including free enhancements to games you owned before. Xbox Game pass added a great value service for gamers to have plenty of content at a good price. Allowed services like EA Access to give gamers even more access to great content at a great price. As far as I am concerned it has been all digital for over 5 years now.
Get both. PS4 slim for the exclusives and Xbox One X for everything else. Win win.
Very true, the grind is very real in games like this. I do have access to a really big guild so the items won't be an issue but still a grind just to get to that far and keep up.
Depends on the game, some of them do indeed. Or have that option anyhow. Now you know.
I should revisit this game. I bought it when it first came out, but after having the first 3 quests bug out, I gave up. Sounds like it has come a long way though.
1060? I don't know about that. 4k on a 1060 is a bit of a pipe dream. But high end PC's for sure have an advantage in pretty much every area.
4k gaming isn't for all of us. If you are ok with the lesser experience, that is fine. Not everyone can enjoy the best.
@Bluebox: I own all consoles. I typically buy the PC version of games. I only buy exclusive on PS4 and Switch. And I do agree that if you have a good PC that it is redundant to the Xbox. However, a PC good enough to compete with the X will cost over double the money. If gamers want a 4k experience without spending 1000+ dollars, the X is the most compelling choice.
If you were to buy a PS4 slim and an Xbox One X, you would have the PS4 exclusives and a 4k gaming experience ...
Most of those are also good games, but none of them have a lot of replay value. Also they are already released. If you want to count old games Xbox One has tons of those as well. Including all the BC games. I was speaking more about games coming out in the near future.
But yeah, Bloodborne and Persona 5 especially are great. Wish they were available on systems that they could truly shine.
I imagine most gamers. It doesn't really have any replay value. The mp is decent, but not good enough to choose over other games.
@ab341: I am a pc gamer and it mostly where I play. But if the choice is between playing on X vs PS4 the clear decision is X. But yeah if a gamer can afford a pc that offers a better experience same logic applies. Most times anyhow, the whole hdr missing on some pc games is a shame.
Sheep syndrome haha
I will, and I want to play the best versions of those games. Enjoy your lesser experience and sales numbers though.
Do they really though? Last of Us, God of War will keep gamers busy for about two weeks. Detroit will probably last a couple of days. Days Gone is really the only game that will probably have any lasting appeal.. but will it actually be a better game that State of Decay 2?
Not saying those games aren't compelling, I will probably get them all. But they won't keep me on the Playstation. Like every year, most of our time will be spent on big third party releases. And ...
Best racing series, check. Best 1st person shooter exclusive, check. Best third person shooting series, check. Gear is the showcase game right now on PC and Xbox. It is the best looking game of this generation, check. So basically they what you want.
And Ori and State of Decay and Crackdown and Sea of Thieves
Why would they complain. Halo 5 and Gears 4 are still going strong with a large community of players and content being updated on a regular basis. Ori is one of the best Single Player games of this generation. Forza Horizons 3 is probably the best racing game ever created. They are getting the best versions of third party games on the X. Services like Game Pass and EA Access keep a steady stream of content at a great value. BC games are coming up on a regular basis with a considerable librar...
Haha, I hear you. It is the reason I gave up on WOW a long time back. I just could never keep up with my friends who somehow found ways to get jobs where they could play WOW
