@2pac: definitely there are instances it can be a bottleneck but there are usually solutions or ways around it. But don’t get me wrong, the faster the cpu the better for sure. Offers so many ways to optimize and improve the overall game. For example allowing smaller file sizes by maximizing compression, more particle effects and more realistic particle effects, all audio, advanced lighting and effects, better collision detection and more advanced physics in general. CPU is just as if not more...
Unless they are games that require servers that need to be maintain over long periods, that sounds fair. For games that have active servers for years though, they need a way to monetize or we won't have games like that.
The resolution doesn't really involve the CPU that much. Physics and such aren't affected by resolution. And even post processing is mostly done on the GPU. The CPU will help, but it won't typically touch every pixel or need to in each frame.
There are some instances where it can be an issue though, such as mesh sizes for cloth physics and things like that depending on how accurate you want it to be, but in most cases you can get away with guessing or close matc...
Very impressive. Unity has come so far as an engine. Their new post processing stack might be the best in the business. So impressed every time I use it. Not just how good it looks but the performance too which used to be something Unity struggled with.
Graphics are a crime, but it does look fun. Here's to hoping it comes to a console that deserves it.
Agree for the most part. But would also add that the game should not be limiting in any way as a means to try to sell MT's.
Although so far for me this hasn't been an issue outside of free to play games like Warframe. Never felt the urge to buy MT's outside of that game and also trying to beat my cousin in Jetpack Joyride haha
Looks pretty future proof indeed. Hopefully all devices shipping from here on out will be compatible.
Added to my wish list, looks great. Hopefully it will be on sale in the near future.
No you don’t but if you don’t own them it is a cheap wat way to play them
It is a nice option although I have only ever used the refund feature once.. on a VR game that made me sick. I think ms has refunds now as well but never used it yet
Very nice!
It is a big deal. And it is the reason HDR10+ is replacing HDR10. Dolby Vision allow per frame optimization and HDR10 does not.
That is an awesome KD. Don't get me wrong, they definitely need to add the rolls for guns back which they are with the masterwork slot. But I also still feel powerful at least in PVE. You can still chain supers with your teammates very easily and the double Titan Pulse grenades with Insormountable Skullfort constantly regening them is rather insane. And the Hunters have those ridiculous boots that make them basically an orb factory. The issues in my opinion aren't related to feeling p...
Offloading the processing to Alexa. CPU is already being pegged in Destiny, at least on consoles, plus voice recognition is really hard. Even companies with Billions of money in research still have a tough time with it.
I feel powerful.. but then again I am very good lol
You can still have special editions. Just instead of a disc it will have a digital code.
Haha, yep. I was just talking with someone about this regarding Destiny on PC.
What GPU do you have?
Mass Effect Andromeda and Battlefront 2 are so far away from being the worst games of this year. Maybe disappointing in as far as expectations but far from bad games.
@Ky: Demon Souls servers are closing. Counter Strike has MT Passes... So yeah.
@Munch. They are supporting them. Through MT's. And yes, the people using the services should pay for them. Duh.
