Because gamers hate Backward Compatibility right? Am I right! Also that whole cross play thing.. I get so mad every time I go to game on my PC and realize I only had to pay once to play on both X and my PC. So stupid. Gamers prefer to buy games twice. MS are evil.
I agree. Being able to hold a job is required as well. If you want a good PC anyhow. Although that is required of life in general.
You can buy gaming PC's off the shelf if you so choose. And there is nothing about gaming PC that requires you to know anything about the inside of a pc or programming. Anyone with a modest level of intelligence is good to go. Does it add to the fun if you know about how PC's work and can write code? Absolutely. But in no way required.
You are right. A moderate level of intelligence and the ability to hold down a job are probably preferred to be a PC gamer.

@S2Killinit: long before Rift or Vive. My first experience with VR was many many years ago using an airplane simulator device at a trade show. My first experience with a consumer type version was using a DK1 which was probably around early 2014. Although I never owned a DK1, I used a friends device to test his application. My first device to own was the DK2.

It might be a surprise for that studio, but it isn't innovation in gaming. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of PS4 games. Bloodborne is probably my second favorite game this gen behind Breath of the Wild. I just find the industry narrative about them being an innovator to be false. They aren't innovating anything.
The games are great, I just find the narrative that Sony is this leader in innovation funny. It is a false narrative.

The only reason you haven't seen a game drop numbers like this, is most of them don't have those numbers to begin with. The first month of release there are tons of players on. They have their fun, enjoy the new content and earn the rewards they want. After this they move on until the next release. This is how games work. There is no 1 game on any console that holds players attention forever. When I go to my friends list people are playing all kinds of different games. The only reason...
The PC is a legit reason, as long as it is a really good PC and you are ok with the annoyances of using it on a TV, which personally I am but not all people are. The PS4 Pro though, that was a mistake. Might as well save the money and stick with the base PS4 model. Some of the best games aren't even enhanced and the ones that are ""enhanced"&quo t; 99% of the time aren't even close to 4k. Sony made a mistake with that device.

Let's check if this is true. Top games releasing this holiday are COD WW2, AC Origins, Shadow of War and Battlefront 2. How many of these aren't on Xbox One X? Zero. How many of these aren't enhanced and the best console version on Xbox One X? Zero.
