It's in regards to EA Access mostly. PC and Xbox gamers have an option for a huge vault of games for just 30 dollars a year or if they just wanted to rush through them in a month 5 dollars. For example, you can get Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, all Dead Space games, all Mirror's Edge games, all the Bioware games and tons more for just 30 dollars total. You also get a discount on all the newer games that aren't in the Vault yet. It is such a crazy value. Especially with all the BC ga...

It was a DLC, it wasn't a full game. But it does show that there might be ways to monetize that could work for Linear Games. Not sure how well it sold vs the cost.

Hellblade did awesome for an indie game, but it didn't sell close to the numbers that EA is after. I wasn't as big of a fan of it as many were, but maybe that is the future for Linear Story games. Indie passion projects.

Just being real. I still enjoy linear games, but I have to admit it is getting much harder to shell out 60 dollars for a game that will hold my attention for 3 to 5 days. I guess similar to ea I am having issues justifying the costs, value of the model.

@Nyxus: you are right, it isn't a replacement, but it is the only option to play the games you already own. It is a tough situation from a consumer point of view. You know the games are indeed playable, but the company is locking you out of them behind a paywall.

@ZehnDrachen: It comes with batteries lol. Did you really think it didn't haha?

I am not sure they are undervaluing them. I can see it from their viewpoint. Linear Story based games tend to cost a lot of money to make and at the same time are hard to monetize. Industry as a whole is kind of moving away from linear games. What linear games did we have this year? Wolfenstein... and I can't think of any others.

Kinect still works, even with the Xbox One X. But it was a failed product. It happens. I didn't feel they were disrespecting their customer. They had big plans, it just didn't work. Sony's intentions with blocking EA Access and not giving BC are actually anti consumer. It's a shame. For me to have the same content I have on PC or Xbox on the PS4 would cost me almost 12 times more. And that is just talking about the games I want to play. They are really hurting the people who w...

Cause they don't hate it. They just like to cry. Some of my friends do this too lol.. They will spend an hour complaining about Destiny and I will think they don't want to play it that evening so I will ask them if they want to play Warframe or Path of Exile and they will say, nah, let's do the Prestitge Nightfall smh.. I just say ok and laugh.

There are some things about Destiny's end game they got very wrong, but they will fix them. I am not in a big hurr...

@Nyxus: Yeah, it is probably just more about adjusting I suppose. Not typical to hold things in parallel with your hands in general. When you lift something you usually offset your hands for balance and almost all tools force you to hold them non parallel. I do get used to it after a few days of playing but when I switch back and forth between Xbox, Switch, PC and PS4 it does feel really off.

The lack of third party services and the lack of BC shows who Sony is as a company. They have no respect for their customers. It is a pretty bitter pill to swallow knowing you are supporting this company who has no respect for you as a consumer.

It doesn't technically. You can get a charge pack if you want. And the battery life lasts quite a while longer per session.

I am not a big fan of the controller. The light, touchpad and audio are all done pretty poorly. They all feel like gimmicks and not actually immersive or useful. And the parallel sticks feel so awkward. I guess it depends on what you are used to, but I have trouble adjusting.

Would be nice to see how it does with the top mods as well. The modding community is what made Skyrim great, at least from a graphics perspective.

@Bhai: it might not be the prettiest but it is definitely demanding. Even on PC it has perf issues.

@SegaGamer: True, some of them have monthly subs or some other form to make money instead of MT's. But they all charge. It is a business. They aren't going to make a game that cost the same as other and continues support without getting more money. It would be financially irresponsible.

Fallout 4 is doing Native 4k on Xbox One X. In fact it hits native through almost the entire game except for 1 or 2 scenes according to DF. On top of that it is also using more detailed meshes as well. Pretty amazing.

They still can. The cosmetics in Destiny for example can be obtained either way. In game or through MT's.

Scaling needs to happen to keep the game challenging and fun but you should be able to choose the scale. Diablo 3 does this to perfection.
