The libraries are 90% identical. That isn't the reason. You should buy the system that offers the best experience for the user. Personally I am mostly a PC gamer, as I love to tinker with things and I also love to write games of my own or mods etc. And I also have the income that allows me to easily enjoy the best experience on the PC as it emerges. But not all users will enjoy PC gaming. The couch/tv experience for PC is still not ideal. Plus the cost is somewhat prohibitive if you want ...
Xbox One's library is huge. It isn't an issue period. And there are tons of games coming out in 2018 for Xbox One X. Next year we should see Anthem, Red Dead Redemption, State of Decay 2, Player Unknown Battleground, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, Ori and the Will of Wisps, Far Cry, No Way Out, Vampyre. Darksiders 3, Metro Exodus, Bloodstained, Code Vein and many many more.
How is that bang on? Clearly the games are there. It is a matter of money, not games or the hardware.
Xbox has exclusives as well and I don't like it either. Although lately they are releasing their games on PC and in some cases like Minecraft across all platforms. And let's remember, Minecraft sells better than any exclusive ever has because it isn't an exclusive. But regardless I don't like exclusives period. Breath of the Wild is the best example, I love that game. And I am so frustrated I had to buy a POS hardware device just to play it. There is no way in a million years ...
@Liqu1d: precisely, they are using exclusives as an excuse to sell bad hardware. Thank you.
Ask yourself, what does Sony gain by not selling Last of Us 2 on PC? The users who want it will buy it regardless, the only difference is users who have "BETTER" hardware will buy it on that platform. They are using an exclusive game to sell hardware that frankly sucks by today's standards.
Your reasons are subjective, the hardware differences are not.
I agree to a point. But that identity should be with the company not an excuse to sell weaker hardware. If Sony sold Uncharted on Xbox and PC, the identity would remain and they would sell a lot more versions of the game. Uncharted would still be part of the identity of Sony. The hardware should be able to stand on its own, and I do think we will get to that point eventually. It is already starting to happen, although kind of slowly.
I feel like adding event specific loot with random rolls would solve most of the complaints. Lost Sectors, Strikes in particular would benefit from this. The Lost Sectors and Strikes are fun content, but the lack of meaningful rewards gives less incentive to grind them. And no, emblems are not the answer. It needs to be items that we can actually play the game with. Weapons or armor.
Same with the flashpoints, having that second boss spawn was a great move, but having the ...
Would rather MS just focused on having the best place to play games rather than the exclusive stuff. Exclusives are basically just an excuse to have bad hardware, MS doesn't need that with the X. Although I suppose it is needed to sell the S.
Pretty disappointing upgrade. Turn 10 is really in a league of their own at this point.
Why do you say that? That isn't true. Although they probably should haha
For once I agree with you. PS4 definitely beats out the Xbox One S as a gaming console. The margin isn't as big as X compared to PS4 Pro but still clearly a win.
My only problem with the BluRay support is Xbox isn't supporting Dolby Vision. Then again most standalone drives don't either. But in my opinion that is a must have feature if your TV supports it.
I would recommend the Slim still. Games run better on PS4 than Xbox One S. Or save up and get the X which is the best console on the market.
Not sure what video you were watching, they clearly said the best version was on the Xbox One X.
Not in 4k they can't.
You trying to say MS doesn't have variety? Name me one single genre not on Xbox One? You can't. Xbox One library is huge. Not just current gen but also so many BC games.
Try it again with your glasses on
@rainslacker: That isn't true though. Netflix is using Dolby Vision as their primary format for Original Content. And almost all movies are being mastered in Dolby Vision both on BluRay and also digitally for Apple TV etc. Also HDR10 just isn't really a competitor for Dolby Vision. Doesn't have close to the features. HDR10 only allows a wide color spectrum but does not allow optimizing individual frames for brightness to get the most out of the colors. HDR10+ allows this, but it a...
