Journalism has become terrible in the 24-7, instant information age. No longer to people wait for at least one or two verified legit sources. Instead people take the word of unknown insiders with unknown sources get things wrong more often than right. Anyone would follows the industry very close can make guesses that seem legit, and might even get one right from time to time.
Unfortunately if they just come out and give answers like you are asking there will just be articles up here saying Respawn is doing "damage control" or "defending". I don't think its even been a week since that last happened.
Simple. Don't want a sequel, don't play it. But don't think you speak for all gamers in saying gaming doesn't need or want one. Give me the next Gears. Give me the next Uncharted. Give me the next Mario. When these sequels can not longer financially survive, then gaming will have decided it doesn't need another. New IP's are great, sometimes so are sequels. Neither is guaranteed to good or bad.
PC Gamer said they spent 4 hours with it. They didn't say the game was for hours in length or make any mention of completing the game. I couldn't find any mention from IGN. I'd hold of on claiming this game as 4 hours until someone gives some solid confirmation.
If its true that's going to be a major disappointment. Side quests are welcome, but the main story/quest should at the minimum be 10+ for a single player focused game.
If you understand how it works, but still think its crappy then you are either greedy or jealous. Next time don't buy a game you want when it comes out. Wait 2-3 months so you can get some extra incentive. See if was worth more for you to get that extra bonus or be playing that game all that time.
If you bought the game on day one then you have been playing it since day one. Getting the game as soon as possible is not enough? Things like giving away a movie, lowering the price, and releasing bundles are ways to increase sales once they start to slow down or to give incentive for the people who were on the fence about buying it.
When you actually translate that into numbers that doesn't sound unreasonable at all. Lets just say for example the two of them sell 100 millions consoles in the next five years. PS4 having 55 million, and the One having 45 million is very possible. I would expect them to be closer than that. Things are going to go up and down over the next few years. I'd love to see the franchise continue. But I would prefer not to have a another prequel or direct sequel. Take it in to the future maybe 20,50,100 years, or even more. You can still keep it in the same universe and build on that, but it also gives you the ability to go in new directions.
When I first grabbed the new controller it just felt off. But after a few days it was fine. I think when you use a controller that most feel is great for years, picking something new up is going to feel odd until you get used to it.
I had thought they already confirmed it for 2015 but as it turns out its nothing official. Ubisoft says 2014 but a member of the dev team said they don't expect it in 2014. As much as I want to play this game I'd prefer it to just come out when its ready instead of them trying to rush it. I also hope they stay away from the fall release window when COD, Assassins Creed and everyone else release.
Man the disagrees. Do people not know this has been done since advertising, marketing, and promotion came into existence? They probably do but they are so blinded by Microsoft hate that common sense goes out the window.
A company paying people to promote their product. I've never heard of such things. Just think, you could pay celebrities or athletes to use or endorse your product. Hell you can just get regular people to do it. Imagine the endless possibilities.
This is standard practice for almost all companies doing Alpha and private Beta tests. Why are people acting like this is something new and now shady all of a sudden? Are people clueless or grasping for any reason to hate?
Hopefully going into this new generation we will see devs stop trying to force multiplayer on single player focused games, and single player onto multiplayer focused games. Its fine to have both, as long as both are good. Did Tomb Raider need multiplayer? How would Battlefield do without single player?
Good news if true. I was excited for Horizon and did not care much for it at first. But after going in for a second try it easily became a favorite. I felt it hit a sweet spot between current sim and arcade racing games. I hope they come with a new map, and more of everything. One area I was disappointed was the barn finds. They should evolve on that aspect to so the exploration is a bit more fun and rewarding.
No, its legit. Don't use Respawn denying a Beta as proof against and Alpha. But I'm not surprised by who posted this.

I have both as well. Its two button presses to get to where you input the code. Its not any harder than doing it on the PS4. While the layouts look differently, to me they function very similarly with their use of the X button and PS button. Both snap you out of your game or app, and you are never really out of it until you manually close it or move on to something else. The Xbox Ones store navigation sucks, and the PS4 uses the same exact on from the PS3, which sucked. I got the PS4 first ...
They have already sold 32 million. Even if they launched on Xbox one and PS4 tomorrow, I would bet they could sell 3 million copies fairly quick and double that by the end of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until after the DLC comes out before releasing "game of the year" editions on the new consoles.
