Well you do get to earn Gamestop rewards points. Then after spending about $5,000 you can get an ugly keychain.
Its very possible this could have happened, and these stores are littered with idiot employees. But these anti-Gamestop stories are tired, and almost always exaggerated. Far worse things become evening news specials at other stores. If I hear these stories from something other than a forum commenter or low level gaming blogger then I might feel there was some grain of truth to it.
Its funny how the people at the dev studios like DICE, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer are so friendly and speak well of the each other and each others games. Then the jerk executives at Activision and EA go and do nothing but trash the other. I'm only interested about what the devs have to say anyway. They are the ones that want to make great games and see their hard work pay off.
The problem with Nuketown isn't the map itself, its the spawn system. I'm fine with another small map. I like variety.
There are about 20+ franchises that have been milked far worse than Halo. Start in the 80's with Nintendo and work your way into the 90's and 2000's with Sony. Then you can talk about Halo being milked. The millions of people that are buying the games don't seem to have a problem. If its successful then it hasn't been milked enough. When a Halo game sells a million copies only, then its milked. And by industry standards thats still a huge success for most games.
They may be dictating their time within the development cycle, but who is he trying to fool? Activision is setting the dates and they can figure out what leading up to that point.
While we are at it we might as well start writing articles because Sunday followed Saturday again.
What? you mean there are tons of games that get released in November? The last 15 years of this happening would never have made me guess it would happen again. Glad someone had to write an article about it.
I was thinking the same thing. I guess it makes sense for them to bend the rules when it comest to making money on their exclusives. I'm sure that rule is going away if its not already done away with. And avatar prop can do no worse than kids seeing the videos and playing the games themselves.
Nice idea. There is a big of fun in the novelty. But thats about it. The selection stinks. I'm 32 and most of those arcade classics were before my time even. I always felt the Gameroom layout would have done better if it were integrated with the XBLA game selection.
Funny all the gamers I've seen between blogs, forums, community sites, and twitter are all excited. But there are always going to be plenty that for some reason need to go out of there way to just be negative about it.
Its ridiculous posts like this even make it on here. I'm sorry this guy is so butt hurt at an Xbox 360 logo on a trailer. Is he really that insecure about what system he prefers to play on. Its just a frigging advertisement.
The story is so over-dramatic that it most likely fake. I hardly doubt a game like L.A. Noire would have a sea of angry customers that bordered on a riot. Packaging mishaps are nothing new and this is certainly no cause for a Xbox/PS fanboy war.
The list is a bunch of no-brainers. Except I disagree with the Horde/Zombie mode. I like the Spec Ops mode in the Infinity Ward games, and Zombies in Treyarch games. No need to add it in this game. And the Shotguns/Killstreaks just need to be tweaked or balanced a little better.
Horrible fanboy article. Microsoft purchasing Skype is not just about XBL versus PSN. And its not about the current Skype customer base and how much money they bring in. Its about what they do in the future with Skype and a lot more than just XBL.
My feelings are everyone should be able to receive/buy/earn all the content, maps, bonuses, DLC somehow. I like getting extra stuff up front because I pre-oredered a game or bought the collectors edition. But i'm not going to be mad if someone can buy that same content at a later date. Some people may not be able to buy the game on the release date, or they might not even have a game system at that time. That shouldn't stop them from being able to play later down the road. It should jus...
How the hell are you supposed to announce something as a pre-order incentive without announcing it before the release date? Its not that specific parts of the game are blocked of you don't preorder, its just you don't get the extra content which are remakes of classic maps. People don't realize how long it actually takes to make maps in game. They have plan for DLC long before the game comes out to have it ready even three months after the release.
Don't people realize these stupid articles and hate comments have zero effect on anything. Companies speak the language of sales. The people buying and playing far outnumber the ones that have to make posts like this. Its fine for people to not like it or not want to buy it. But letting everyone know your weak reasons for doing so is pointless.
Even if you have a dollars/pounds. You still have to add a minimum of 5. If something is 5.99 and you have 68, you can pay the additional 5.31 at once. But if its 5.99 and you have 1.75, you can't just pay the 4.24, you have to add the 5 minimum again. The PSN system is good, because you can buy the larger purchase with one payment. But the system is the same for the small items.
The only thing that really bothers me is buying stuff on XBL that costs 1200, and I either h...
I don't camp, but it doesn't bother me if others do it. If someone is dumb enough to keep going the same way when they know there is a camper there then they deserve to die. People can play whatever style they want as long as they are doing it within the rules of the game.
