Its not news that Treyarch would be working on the next game. But being at this stage of year 1 of a 2 year development cycle they would not at the point of testing out multiplayer. And even when they are testing in the Alpha stage they would be doing it on devkit consoles, with generic studio gamertages, and most likely not on Xbox Live.
Pretty simple really. I like it, so I'm going to buy it. You don't like it so you don't have to buy it. Are peoples lives that bad that they need to create articles about the games they don't want to play?
Of course I like it, good for me. But you have to wonder about the people that go out of their way to complain about a game they don't like, don't play and/or don't buy. Maybe we are playing different games, the ones I buy have lots of new things every year. Seeing as you haven't bought one in six years your information might be a bit off. Good day.

To me it makes sense to announce the game early, and just let the hype build up the whole way. Why deny and deny a game for months that everyone knows is coming. Instead they just announce it, give very little info about it and then let the hype build up as people dig and grasp for every little bit of info.

If its wrong to use this kind of stuff as part of the story in a fiction video game, I guess we would just have to ban numerous tv shows, movies, and books that have similar themes.
I didn't find any problem with the maps. Multiple avenues of approach, more lines of sight, verticality, and even hiding spots are better for the game. They all add variety to the gameplay. Campers are going to camp regardless of the design of the map. People need to learn all the possibilities on the map. The only problems I found were the grenade launcher spamming and ridiculous nature of the killstreaks.

I thought it looked like Taffic Rush on my iphone, but its more of the opposite of that. Create an accident instead of avoid one.

I disagree with everything is this entire article. Many people would love to go back and play Halo again. But old games are often not as good as their were in their own time, espcially when they are on a last generation console. And since this game has come out, the entire Halo universe has expanded. Adding in the terminals will only help but add more depth to the Halo series. This game isn't for everyone, but should sell a few million easy.
Great headline. It had me laughing. The U3 beta is good, not great. The game will be popular and sell millions, but it won't even sniff the vicinity of COD. It won't even beat Gears of War and thats the same genre.
Does Gearbox really have room to talk. Other than Borderlands, everything else is average at best or just a port of another studios game. And even Borderlands was good and not great.

Well apparently I'm not like the rest of you. I think classic multiplayer killed itself by its own design. Games where everyone starts out the same and has to find weapons along the maps became races for certain weapons spawns. First the title claims that it barely cracks the top 5. For one we are talking about the TOP 5 here, not top 100. They then say the study does not list any specific order. It very well could be the #1 and more than likely is, with a chance that Battlefield 3 could be it. A little common sense will tell you which games are going to sell more unless something unusual happens. Often critical acclaim and review scores do not reflect what the public really wants.
I would say jaw dropping is a stretch. But it looks like it had potential. I would be interested if this was revived.
