Fun little list. :-)
I must disagree with the Warriors comment though. What makes the Warriors games different is the characters, the setting, and the story. I find the experience of Samurai Warriors to be entirely different to Fist of the North Star, for instance.
Clock Tower 3 was a good game by Capcom. Not quite as classic as the first two, but I thought it had a strong and compelling plot (thanks in part to the involvement of the same movie director that did Battle Royale). Worth checking out if you still have a PS2 that's working.
Good one. This game was awesome, and it was the menace of scissorman that made it so intense.
Because From Software is trying too hard now. Dark Souls is the limit. Push further in the direction it's going, and it'll become just another good, but generic RPG series.
This is the first Capcom game in ages that I've been super-hyped about. Can't wait!
@OzzieArcane - if only the PS2 wasn't region locked, then ;-)
Dragon Quest was very rare here in Australia. I've only ever seen two or three copies in stores.
That series only started getting mass recognition down here with the DS remakes of IV, V, VI and the new IX game, mostly because Nintendo published and distributed them.
It's not a Warriors game?
Basara is owned and developed by Capcom, not Tecmo Koei.
Yeah, those wer two of my favorite PSP games :)
Haha, good spot!
Ah AKB48. The guy who came up with that is a marketing/ business genius.
That's pretty cool. Neir's soundtrack WAS incredible.
But how's about you reform Cavia and make Nier 2, Square Enix?
I think you'll find this is the PS3 remake of Orochi 2, which was a PSP game.
I was just in Japan, and no, no they're not. Especially the likes of Tecmo Koei... there are so many games in Japan that don't get released in the West.
Fatal Frame, too!
Oh look. A Warriors game scores highly with Famitsu.
And when it gets released in the West, it'll get 3/10 and 4/10.
I guess that's one way to take it.
Or you could realise (no sic necessary, realise isn't spelled with a "z" in England and Australia, and not every site out there belongs to the USA) that some gamers might appreciate the balance, because otherwise they might have some unpleasant surprises once/ if they do play the game.
It's also not a negative review. There's... three times in there the reviewer quite clearly states that the game i...
And perhaps this one will even get an English translation!
That would be nice.
And to quote from the article:
"And while this show is obviously aimed at a Japanese audience, we’ve seen little else from previous shows and events to suggest there is a strong line up of western games to fill that void."
Just one point, in regards to the cost of buying a game.
How much did it cost to make Tie-Fighter? How much does it cost to make something like Skyrim?
Gamers often forget, amongst all those complaints, that if a developer and publisher goes bankrupt, they're not going to get many more games from them.
