That's a possibility, of course. The fact that Halo 1-3 turned up in the Steam registry a mere two weeks before the phrase Halo3 turned up in the beta drivers is intriguing, but not 100% proof of anything.
At the very least, there's something very interesting happening. For both AMD and whoever handled that Steam registry to fall for it, this is more than just some random trick.
That it was a Metal Gear game, yes. The thirty minutes after was filled with screen grabs, discussion, filling in the blanks and much more.
Then again, I presumed the people reading that post would understand that I didn't mean a literal 30 minutes. Point noted, from now on I'll let you know when I'm not being very, very specific.
Sorry, that was sarcasm. I'm not going to do that.
They ARE being clever.
Their job isn't to provide some crappy mystery for you to solve. If that was the case, Kojima would have held his hands up and admitted to the whole thing after the 30 minutes it took us all to work everything out last year.
Their job is to get people talking about it. Guess what Warpzoned: you're talking about it.
@Cee
Yeah, but if it's a choice between a 360 pad and a keyboard.
One of the big things that people are using to prove this wrong is the transparency of the bandages.

I would't say I'm 100% sure, but I'm open to the idea of being convinced...
You guys all realize that his second post was continuing his first, right?
Or did the chance to make someone look a douche outweigh reality for a second there?
@LyonKing
ZombiU wasn't horribly bugged. It was awesome - exactly the sort of survival horror game people have been wanting for ages.
But it was exclusive for a console that not everybody owns and it could be very difficult at times, so it's been panned by people that haven't played it.
Usually I try and find something good about every game, but I gave Colonial Marines I think perhaps one of the lowest scores of my career.

I even gave Hannah Montana: The Movie 3.5
Works fine for me on Windows 8 through Steam. How're your drivers looking, and where do you have the game installed? You might need to download patches if they're not downloaded automatically.
If you're in Steam; right click game, properties, local content, verify integrity.
Best of luck!
I almost want it not to be though, after all these months.
I can just imagine some guy somewhere, hating the coincidence of his name being an anagram.

Many films are nothing but a product. I can name you fifty games with artistic merit, you can name fifty films, it's proves nothing, especially since artistic merit is subjective to start with.
Besides, anything that has been created has artistic merit. I don't give a damn what your opinion on Call of Duty or Mass Effect 3 is, both have artistic merit, both have artistic meaning.
You seem like one of the people who b...
It's a difficult one. SimCity might not have worked on one level, but that's a temporary problem. On the other hand, it totally stopped it being pirated.
The lesson they've learnt from this is "get it right first time," not "DRM is bad."
@ZombieNinjaPanda
Books and films are products as well, arguably with a bigger market. You don't see anybody claiming The Hangover will kill their children though.
I remember the vast majority of professional writers finding the Mass Effect 3 debacle disgusting, and a lot of them at least made their opinions public. It was only when the movement really boiled up that lesser writers started supporting it.
The guys that didn't then had their professionalism and even their ability to write called into doubt.
The vocal minority feels entitled to have everything aimed at them. Look at the amount of angry people who jumpe...
So then it isn't the base idea that's sexist, but the repeat of that base idea? Then the trope would be fine if Mario and Peach took it in turns to save one another?
But then, how would that work generally? If both Mario and Peach are strong enough to kill Bowser individually, why would either one bother dodging holes and squashing goombas to rescue the other? Further to that, why does that even need to be an issue? Surely it's sexist to imply that all women need ...
My issue, if you ignore the ridiculous backstory, is that she's dissecting tropes, which is ridiculous. I defy you to hit tvtropes and find a single entry from anything you've ever read, watched or played that can't be boiled down to something tired and dull and potentially offensive.
My question is this: if it was Peach vs Female Bowser and Mario was the "damsel in distress", would it still be sexist? Would Anita still be talking about it?
I'm sorry I crushed your dreams, but if it helps, I'd be really surprised if the PS5 didn't play PS4 games!
You know, the more I think about it, the more I think Sony are going to push a subscription service that gives you X amount of games a month, or everything if you pay more. It might not be the perfect solution to not having access to your content immediately, but if I thought I could get everything - including all available PS1, PS2 and PS3 games and then an...

I wrote an article back in 2009, just after the Kinect announcement: "Has Natal Already Failed?"
(Remember Natal?!)
http://n4g.com/news/453453/...
The article is long dead, but the comment section is a little slice of Xbox Defense history. It was a different time!
@Darrius
I didn't want to reply to your first comment, because I don't mind someone being hopeful of something they want, but really, offline BC isn't going to happen. I outline why in the article. Additionally, the PS4 has been finalized for probably the best part of 18 months, and developers are building for it now. A change in the way the system works would mean remaking parts or all of those games.
The next Xbox should have backwards compatibi...
Halo 3 on PC would sell well, especially given that a lot of people who bought consoles at the beginning of this gen may well have bought a PC in the mean time. A digital title needs only to sell a couple hundred thousand units and its even, and given that Halo 3 is already in the pure-profit zone, there's no real reason not to do it if they suddenly want to.
Oh, unless of course you're right and literally nobody who owns a PC cares. We both know that's not true t...
