Actually, this game is done by the guys from NecroVision, a well received horror themed World War I shooter.
A number of them are ex-People Can Fly developpers.
It's a small team so they don't use cutting edge tech, but NecroVision was pretty damn fun, had a good deal of personanlity despite using a global war setting, and this definitely has potential.
The fonts used in the game look more like those from Indiana Jones to me. The authors ...
It's funny, I just tried to play a well known recent PC game and was faced with tons of graphic card compatibility and driver issues, as well as peripheral recognition and unsupported resolution despite using well known hardware, which hampered performance to a ridiculous level despite the game not even being really taxing.
People always compare graphics, but the appeal of console is, repeat after me: plug and play, people, plug and play.
And if you l...
Amazon France, King of the Reveal!
There is nothing to defend. This is indenfensible.
They did competitive open world games, until open world mission design and/or production values started to evolve.
Their games were still too much "go there kill that", and unlike Infamous (which is just as mind numbingly repetitive), they didn't manage to build any proper mythology or sense of style around it to make people look past these design shortcomings.
So long...
Metroid Prime played well enough on the DS.
It was cool because it didn't use the stylus, so it was actually reasonably comfortable to hold.
Unlike the CoDs, which were unbearable. Maybe those CoDs would have worked better with something like the Kid Icarus 3DS stand, but without it they sucked.
In Metroid, you sorta wrapped the rubber nub that was on the DS' strap around your thumb. Not super precise but did the job.
I guess it could still work OK ...
It's actually commonplace for videogames to have a very large number of players not reaching the end.
Studies show that this is not the exception. This is the norm.
Unless maybe for some very short and simple games like corridor shooters.
20% is especially low but that's probably because of the methodic nature of Hitman's gameplay.
"wonderfully impressive"?
Does that even qualify as journalism?
I'll still wait to see if a third party company like Nyko makes some kind of circle pad pro for the XL.
Given the rage that is Monster Hunter in Japan, I think there's still a niche for people who want to play it in good conditions on their XL.
I'm buying the system for RE:R and MGS3D so it's a must.
No dual analog, no buy.
Is this the one?

I was somewhat interested in buying one, but no dual analog? Wow, no thanks.
Are they even going to do a new Circle Pad that fits the bigger model? How big is that thing gonna be with it then?
Personally I wouldn't really like it as I enjoy playing campaigns, especially split screen coop, and I imagine it would get axed it TS4 went FTP.
But, this being said, I do think that FTP makes some sense.
TS uses stylized visuals that could accomodate a large userbase with low specs.
It's well known for its multiplayer component.
It'd seem strange to see the quintessential console FPS on PC and maybe not on consoles (unless ...
Let me spoil it for you :
In the new footage, Lara goes from point A to point B in a restrictive corridor enclosed by unnaturally laid out rural scenery.
And the award for "Backhanded Compliment of the Year 2012" goes to... Crytek Studios !
I want a goddamn text speed option this time! That is all.
Doesn't mean that I have to accept it.
What?? Did I read that well?
They have not added the option to use Ratchet 3's shooter controls to the first 2 games?
What a load of crap.
Yes, I guess you are right if you look at it that way.
The name is cool, the art style has strengths, "stealth exploration" sounds enticing, but the hero's animations lack a bit of amplitude and the level design looks potentially a bit too bland.
Killzone 3 was very uneven. The story started well enough but didn't go anywhere and the characters were awful.
Halo CE has like one third of the game consisting of either backtracking or cut and paste rooms. Reach has some of these flaws but not quite to the same extent, so I'd pick Reach even though the Halo 1 story was the best.
Half Life 2 was a good game but most segments of the campaign (hovercraft, abandonned hospital, street fights...) wer...
