I watched extensive walkthrough footage, and the game does seem even more linear than the first.
The first has plenty of invisible walls, but it still had areas a little larger than a standard shooter.

Here they allude to just 2 levels, one in Tibet and one in Bosnia, that are more open, but I wonder to what extent they are open since the rest is so narrow.

Ghost of Sparta on PSP was itself very dry narratively.
The game had virtually no story element until several hours in when they told a bit of backstory about the brother.
I don't remember Chains being super great either story wise, except the ending.
And 2/3 already felt a bit tacked on. They were OK, but the ending to the first was so satisfying and definitive that it felt that the story was stretched more than continued.
2 was still great because the...

Oh wow, they changed the split screen ratio.
This is getting worse and worse.

Not placing that much faith in comments made by devs about a console they are developing for or sure to be developing for.
The worst comments we heard about the Wii U came from people to whom it most likely won't be a priority, like the Metro Last Light and Battlefield guys.
However, the Aliens devs had nothing but praise for the Wii U, and coincidentally had a game coming for it.

I believe that the PS4 will be good, if only because the PS3 was so unfr...

That release is too old.
This site is called NEWS 4 Gamers.
Don't waste our time with every amateur website that reviews a game only when its amateur webmaster has found the time and money to rent it or buy it in the bargain bin.

If you want reviews of old games, search on Metacritic, Mobygames and other review aggregators, that's why they are here.

N4G badly needs a filter or a dedicated section for this type of late articles, i...

Trailers have been using stock music for years.
Had the Deus Ex music been featured in the film itself, then that would have been surprising. But it's not, right?

Then WHY THE HELL does the article's title say just that?

The first one was good except for its crappy camera.
The 2nd one had better controls but the story and characters were more bland.
And please add checkpoints to DG3!

Condemned had a sequel.

Oh man I tried playing it, the ambiance was cool but enemy AI was so cheap, as soon as they saw you you were full of lead and they never missed.

Singularity
Bulletstorm
Blades of Time also had more potential than it was given credit for (and could still get a sequel)
Ghost Trick (not sure if it needs a sequel as it's a simple concept but it's a great game that didn't get one)

Among slightly older games, Secret Weapons Over Normandy comes to mind (although an unofficial sequel was made in Blazing Angels 2 and several games used its camera system)

Good then maybe a few more mid-size devs in Japan will make games for it, and while it will not provide Vita with Western flagship titles, we might see a couple decent JRPGs with mild mainstream appeal that will give its library a bit more depth, and make it a reasonable purchase for a certain segment of the audience as a "cult" machine.

Oh, because it couldn't do it by default?
This console really is a 7 year late 360 in disguise.

Underwater swimming, yeah!
I hope the mission design is less scripted and restrictive this time around.

I wonder if they meant it to be a numeral installment all along, or if they added "IV" to really show that they were leaving the poorly received Connor character behind.
Because it looks more like an expansion in the mold of Bloodlines and Revelations, reusing some gameplay systems from III.

David Goldfarb did not make Payday.
He did Battlefield Bad Company 2.

And I agree with him.
I found the KZ demo very bland from a design perspective.
That scripted sequence hanging from the dropship was lame.
Hopefully, KZ4's novelty won't be limited to masquerading as a member of the other faction to infiltrate, and they will also bring better character development and level design to the table.
We already knew KZ would ...

The whole Gawker portal blows.
They all employ the same sensationalistic headlines with expressions like "X awesomely does this", and then they fill the article with a catalogue of social commentary cliches.
It's geek news for the HuffPo crowd.

Eurogamer?
So basically, you just made a list of every big gaming website you could think of?
I think EG is one of the very best.

Come on guys, why don't you pay your 70 Euros for those 5 hours of content like everybody else?

As usual with KZ, the art direction looks great and technically it's impressive, but mission/level design looks basic, and this demo doesn't seem willing to address the constant characterization and writing flaws that have plagued the series.

More is needed to establish this title as a true system seller.

That rumor is just some unsubstantiated crap started by a small time website.

To be that different, the WiiU version would have had to be remade in depth. All that effort for a port to a console with almost no install base.
And given how much GBX have slacked on the other versions, I don't see them making that kind of effort for the WiiU port, an effort that ports of much better games have not received.
