An exclusive is an exclusive.
If it's on any other system, particularly one with higher specs or a wider install base, it's not an exclusive.

Ah, a new Vita excl... Oh nevermind.

You can't be serious.
What Halo brought to the world of console FPS, the perfect control calibration (unusual at the time), the creative enemy classes, the AI, the seemless inclusion of vehicles in single player, the risky gameplay twists with the Flood, the open level design, the writing, the non-reliance on obvious scripting, the all real-time cutscenes...

I mean, Halo has its flaws with cut and paste rooms and backtracking but come on, comparing Halo with Re...

I came here just to bathe in the bitter tears of delusional fans who were looking for validation of their Vita purchase with this title, and can't accept that the game is weak.

And sure enough they didn't disappoint.

2 reviews from pro outlets, several others from fan sites.
Pro outlets: 2/10 (let's say 4/10 when adjusted for Jim Sterling's troll factor) and a 59/100 from a European OPM edition.

Fan sites are much more appreciative, but even the Playstation Lifestyle review contains many criticisms despite the final score. And they're fan sites. Their average rating is high.

I smell a really mediocre Metascore, and the reoccurring criticisms about...

Huh no thanks, Icelandic dude, I like to own what I buy forever and not be subjected to the performance of an online service.

It would absolutely make me more likely to buy one.
As a matter of fact as soon as those rumors about the attachment appeared, I held out on buying one.

The game got almost universally lukewarm previews, yet this review is absolutely glowing.
The visuals that were not very well received elsewhere are described as magnificent.
The level design which was severely criticized as formulaic and restrictive is here described as perfectly balanced.
The presentation which was called drab and cliched in several outlets is presented as lavish and spot on.
The tone feels informal and fanboyish, with every any problem b...

Back compatible with all 3 previous generations of PS discs?
That's wishful thinking here.

Everything or Nothing is really cool.
Star actors, original writers, pre-credit, original song, helicopter chases, car races, tanks, gadgets, coop, adversarial, split screen, stealth, gadgets, online (not active anymore obviously). Really full featured.
It even has some of the so called "exotic" gameplay sequences that cinematic games of today love to feature, a free fall near a waterfall and other stuff like that...
Now the gameplay feels a bit stiff, but...

Jak 2 wasn't a game with a lot of details and realistic visuals like UC and TLOU.
They will not do an open world game with those visuals.
Besides most of their frequent cutscenes are pre-rendered, that would likely not mesh terribly well with an open world.

Sony Santa Monica?
How much did GoW3 sell again? That was not a system seller.

You say you know TLOU will be very innovative.
How? What innovations are there? ...

The Last of Us and Enslaved share some gameplay concept and personel.
ND already said that UC3 was gonna be more open ended than UC2 and it wasn't.
There are maybe going to be a couple rooms here and there with items, a couple larger areas, but it's going to stay very limited.
It's like when Insomniac said R3 would be less linear.
The Last of Us will be a shooter, just like Uncharted was a shooter.
They put some platforming and a few pu...

It's not really a demo, it's a special sniping level, not sure if it's gonna be indicative of the final product.

5099d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Is this even a question?
It will be linear.
Enslaved was linear, Uncharted is linear.

It's easier to keep the same graphical fidelity with that template, it's easier to do a game within a mid-length dev cycle with that template, they are used to doing cover-based shooters with strong cinematic elements, and it will sell just as much because Naughty Dog fans aren't the most discerning crowd and don't care much for innovation.
Naught...

Not very compelled.
The storytelling devices, the characterization and scripting look pretty heavy handed and tired.
I preferred the drier, more matter-of-fact tone of GRAW.
Also, I preferred the long distance, drier action of that game.

You can see that they made a conscious effort to shorten assault distances, now there seems to be a sprint button instead of the free flowing momentum of the previous games...
It feels more like a mix or ...
