I hope it's a spin-off with its own campaign.
I am relieved that it's somewhat open world, but I still wonder if it won't be something like Metroidvania, where you have different interconnected areas but each area is linear, a bit like Akham Asylum.
I hope for larger environments with large halls and interconnected rooms, like TR should be.
Very good.
Don't know why they call it AC3.
I guess it makes it look more important than a standard portable spin-off, but then again it could also make it look like a PSP-style port to some people.
It's great that it takes place in N.O.
It allows them presumably to avoid the complication of season/weather change from the main AC3, but it also means all exclusive environments for Vita owners.
Large new playing areas repr...
Very disappointed, looks super linear.
Every time the franchise has been criticized for issues with frustrating level navigation in its larger environments, instead of making navigation better, they have just dumbed down the level design to bypass these problems.
But hey, it worked when they ripped off Prince of Persia to make Legend, so why not rip off Uncharted for this new reboot.
These screenshots are just caps from the pre-rendered trailer.
I smell another Gears clone.
That's not backward compatibility.
Backward compatibility is letting me play MY old PS2 discs that I already purchased with MY money instead of taking MY money a second time to play them again on a service that doesn't even offer permanent ownership of the product.
It is what it is, but the company has been bleeding money. This is a low risk move to add depth to the Wii U catalogue.
At least, it means that the Wind Waker should finally be playable with a non-inverted camera.
Yeah but the PSP's library was very weak.
The 2 GoW
The 2 Syphon Filter
The 2 Wipeouts
The 2 GTAs
Monster Hunter
MGS Peace Walker
What's left?
A few middling titles like those of Falcom, but expect them to be ported to the PC at some point.
Maybe an average Tales of by Namco...
A bunch of ports and lesser spin offs.
Not much else.
And they have already announ...
People are bashing the Vita because it has no games, just like they were bashing the 3DS when it had no games.
Also, I'm fearing that all of the Vita's best games will be ported to the PS3/PS4, since a lot of them use they exact same template as console games.
All of the PSP's best titles are got ported to the PS2/PS3.
This is less of a problem with the 3DS/DS where games use more platform specific concepts and are so technically different from...
Mmm, then it might very well have a sequel that will polish the game's mistakes.
I guess I won't buy this one then, and see what happens.
I'm really hoping for the return of a more creative and dynamic presentation in the solo career, after the fairly spartan Dirt 3 and the barebones approach of Showdown.
And of course, I also expect the split screen we've seen in Codemasters racers that have come out since Grid 1, but I think that's a given.
Pretty good Luigi's Mansion figures.
But I guess it's been announced pretty long ago.
Mmmm, well everybody predicts the Kings to win...
With all the 360s that broke early, of course they sold more.
Not that I care about these fanboy wars as I own both.
I'd prefer my PS3 if it wasn't for that awful controller, just for that I give the 360 the edge.
They better rework significant chunks of the level design in the main game, because the game got super repetitive past a certain point.
And maybe change some of the cheap enemy spawns, too.
The add-on improved things a bit with more varied environments, but the main game dragged on.
I also hope that they keep the coop of the Xbox version.
But I'm not keeping my hopes up.
There were already some pretty good pre-order deals in France.
Actually I bought mine for 250 Euros, got a travel pouch and a 50 Euro voucher.
I didn't even open package and resold the Vita brand new for 230, while keeping the 50 Euro voucher and the pouch.
And now I get to buy a new one for 200 anyway? Awesome!
I like that it lasts until mid-July.
This way, I can gauge what software is coming at E3, and then maybe invest.
If...
Thanks for Homefront, Bilson!
Nail'd had very sharp handling, great speed and spectacular jumps, but the career mode was super bare bones, it had no split screen, no real life equipment or sponsors, and some of the track layout was unclear.
I'd have bought this if it they had at least added split screen, which they didn't.
Also, I read another review where they say that the intempestive respawns induced by the unclear track layout from Nail'd are still there.
And I'...
