GPU: Around the same, but with more features. (Instructions per clock aren't the same on RDNA2 vs. GCN)
CPU: XSS ridiculously faster.
Storage: 10x+ faster.
So yes, it is faster and more powerful. (As in capable of doing more things with similar raw power)
This usually wouldn't need an explanation... it's pretty obvious, but it looks like some do need it.
After the update, now it says my 32GB / Ryzen 3900x / RTX 2080 Super doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the game 🥴
My post is "tagged as inappropiate". :/
But "They're gonna crush MS." remains.

@Edgelordsupreme
🙄🤦♂️
A gif?
Lol... this is unbelievable... pure blindness. If MS did a lot of mistakes with the xOne... who cares? They harmed themselves... they've been through a lot to make it for it and it shows. You talk as if someone from Microsoft stole your girlfriend or something lol...
I skipped the Xbox One btw... bought a PS4 and only went back to the X with the One X... great hardware but still draging the weaknesses of this gen.
This will be an entirely new generati...
You should stop looking at MS as if they were de devil and start enjoying the good things they've brought to this new generation. I haven't been so hyped about consoles since the 360/PS3, and that was 15 years ago. In addition, the things Microsoft is bringing this time around are far beyond those on the 360 times.
That's something that only people with no interest on the console / no technical knowledge would say.
Series X improvements are based on RDNA2 features AND Horse Power. Series S doesn't have the former, hence the price. It wasn't even necessary for Microsoft to confirm this to anyone with common sense.
@RgR
"This is common practice through all generations. Specifically current gen."
I think you're not getting what this is all about. The "common practice" in the last generation was Paid Remasters for the newer generation.
@DJStotty
... and date, and thermal solution. It is important to me at least.
Talking big and not including the PS5? Uhmmm...
Ah ok, it's Kotaku.
We all should thank Microsoft for pulling off this initiative. I'm glad to see Sony and other publishers following suit. F**ck Activision, 2K Games. They may learn the hard way.
@rainslacker
You have it backwards. Those RNDA2 features let you save resources in order to output a better looking image.
Lol... weird comparison.
@fr0sty13m
+ hardware-accelerated ray tracing, mesh shaders, variable rate shading and Xbox Velocity Architecture on SSD.
"On Xbox Series X, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in full 4K resolution."
👊
@SullysCigar
I'll tell you were you are wrong:
One X was made to run @4K on games based on the original Xbox One.
The Series X was made to run @1440p for games based on the next generation.
One X wouldn't be able to do 4K... or even 1080p with the same visual features the Xbox One S can handle thanks to RDNA2 and its CPU.
