Indeed. He actually foresaw what's going on now with consoles and SSDs and that was in 2009 (when he first shared his vision)
Give him a damn Quake game with awesome visuals. The fanbase will be glad.
Glad to see Xbox games having success outside its ecosystem.
Ori 2 is also on Switch btw.
Took me 20 mins to checkout on Microsoft's website. I'm glad I didn't close the page.
How about waiting for the damn gane to be released before judging? :)
Thank you.
Let's do this.
How did this get approved with fake prices on the picture?
Because it doesn't entirely depend on him. He always had a good relationship with Microsoft (rare given his personality) so if he's given a good project, that'd be great news. I remember he was the first guy who pushed streaming assets directly from the HDD in games with Rage. Direct Storage/XVA guys would be happy to have him showing stuff off.
Series S with 500GB will be able to storage about as many games as the PS5 with 850GB considering games will weight 30% less on the little Xbox console... so you'd have to add even more money to the PS5 cost.... and also add up the time you'll have to wait until those SSDs are homologated by Sony. Those won't be cheap.
So, it seems like Nadella was dead serious about investing on Xbox.
Microsoft hasn't announced any increase in their 1st party lineup.
And to think I've seen so many PS fans saying the Xbox Series will have a similar performance as the Xbox One.
* sigh*
Good news for gamers nevertheless.

It's all about numbers. If Microsoft manages to expand their fanbase enough, there's no way Japanese publishers will keep ignoring them, regardless of how close they are to Sony. Remember how Square Enix "jumped in" in the Xbox 360 times, And Series S|X have all chances to be much bigger than the 360 was.
I see a lot of PS Fans wishing Bethesda IPs to remain Multiplatform. I can understand that... it's a gargantuan lose on PS library otherwise... however, Bethesda isn't Mojang. Minecraft was everywhere from mobiles to PC and consoles before its purchase. Bethesda makes Hardcore games which userbase are mainly on PC and consoles, so I wouldn't hold my hopes high on making most of them land on Playstation.

"Will continue to be multiplatform in case by case basis"
Curiously, Bethesda's biggest IPs are huge in PC and Xbox... so I see why this decision has been taken. It's make sense to me to release only on those platforms in most cases.

I'm not sure about that. Those games will not go anywhere Microsoft doesn't want to.
It will be interesting to see some clarification.
Agreed. Square Enix and Capcom usually support Sony so this one makes all sense for Microsoft.
I believe it automatically makes XGS the biggest game publisher in the world?
It means Xbox Game Studios is now officially the house of the BIG RPGs.
What a nuclear bomb!!! Wow! Wow! Wow!....
FATALITY! 😱
Indeed =D
