You're missing an important point. That loss would only be for the first year or so, out of a 8 year life-cycle, as production costs lowers due to demand. The more consoles they sell, the best chance they have for new subscriptions, so in case they do sell it at such low price (and I'm sure they can) it would be an investment that could well pay off in the mid-long term.

MS already has Xbox Live Gold + Game Pass Console + Game Pass PC for 14.99USD a month. It's called "Game Pass Ultimate"

They have it all covered, and probably many people don't even know, so they should highlight the benefits of Game Pass as well.

• Halo Infinite + Forza 8 + Surprise AAA game AT LAUNCH would give them a 10/10 for the launch Window.
• Unveil new and refreshed IPs their studios are working on.
• Surprise 3rd party big exclusive(s).
• Unveil Series S at a crazy low price.
• Optional: Reveal XSX price.

Do this and MS has the pole position for the next-gen launch, as they had everything else covered since the XSX announcement back in 2019.

And this is NOT about him only:

"Insomniac promotes a culture of open honestly. You can speak to anyone about anything. You can ask any question. I put that to the test and even tho we were told this was the case - it was not. When one of my friends was forced to quit, I handed in my resignatio...

Can we credit her the benefit of the doubt? Since former and current employees are backing her up? The core of the problem isn't just about one person, but about a company protecting these guys. Former employee @xavierck3d on twitter says "ALL of this is t...

I am puzzled by the opinions poured here. Former and Current Co-Workers have come out in support of what she's saying.

We all love Insomniac videogames, but there are more important things in life. I call you to reflect about it.

"Multiple current and former Insomniac employees have come out in support of Brennan. Dahlia Hegab, a user experience researcher, wrote that she was "one of those women and I'm still suffering from my time there." Xavier Coelho-Kostolny, a 3D character artist, wrote that all of what Brennan wrote is true and that "it sucks it has to be said."

Lol... nice clickbait(ish) article... they didn't dare to rank TLOU2.

I disagree. I respect Sony for giving their fanbase such a great game (controversial or not) right at the end of the console's lifecycle.

And yes... TLOU2 MUST have a Smart Delivery treatment for PS5, that would somehow make up for the lack of launch releases.

That's exactly my point. Both of them are contract restrained, hence, to be taken with a grain of salt.

2050d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Let me rephrase that. All PS5 games announced for PC that have a known PC distributor are on Epic Games Store exclusively. (Unless there's information I'm missing) Add the UE5 exclusive PS5 demo to the equation and the fact that Sweeny's been acting like a Sony PR guy lately and it's pretty obvious that there's definitely a juicy agreement there.

I'm not criticising him though. This is business and he has all the right to do so... It's just that ...

Withholding this information can be due to two different tings. Whether it does run at 120fps on PS5 (that was my legit question as well btw) and they're not able to talk about it due to some sort of agreement, or it actually doesn't and they don't want to kick up the dust yet.

Whether it comes from Codemasters or EPIC, opinions tied to contracts are always questionable. Thing is, Sweeny was considered a neutral player in the industry, but that was before we got...

@RazzerRedux

?? ... Codemasters are praising PS5 here. What is there to question?

We'll find out soon whether it runs @120fps on Ps5 or not. Since no hardware is capable of pulling 4K/60 over HDMI as of now, I have no opinion (yet) on whether it will be that noticeable ver 60fps or not.

@CaptainHenry916

I'm a PC gamer myself and what you're saying makes no sense.

You're taking current "cheap" TVs as the base of your argument for a next gen console with technology that hasn't been released in any other device (HDMI 2.1, RDNA2) It has absolutely nothing to do with that. If that was the case then they would've stuck with HDMI 2.0 which is enough for 4K/60. The key of HDMI 2.1 are the increased bandwidth, which ...

Will it support 120fps on PS5?

That agreement between Sony and EPIC Store deprives Sweeny's words of some objectiveness though.
