Talking down on Obsidian now?... They're one of the most talented studios around. Created both Pillars of Eternity with medium budgets and now they have all the resources they need. If there's one studio Microsoft acquired I'm excited about, that's Obsidian.
They talk about RAM (and CPU power) because it's something more relevant to what they do. He talks about NPCs and lively worlds. You need RAM and Processing power for that. For comparison, the Series...
I've seen the game in action and looks like a generic combination of Darksiders with RPG elements. I will be (pleasantly) impressed if it ends up being good.

Every company should support their installed fanbase for a reasonable period of time. Ditching a 100+ million userbase in order to sell PS5 doesn't sound right.

Molyneux is a snake charmer. He had a way too romantic vision of video games, and they ended up being average and best... and boring. I have no idea why he was named head of the Microsoft Game division but I'm glad him and Don Mattrick left the company. Both of them almost destroyed the brand.
On the bright side though, you have 343 Industries and The Coallition becoming one of the best developers in the industry... RARE making a come back...

Publishers that still do microtransactions will still do with or without a price increase.
The Game of the Generation will be between The Witcher 3, God of War and Zelda BOTW. Games that were well reviewed, sold extremely well and got a massive user reception... not a game that became notorious for making its fans historically mad and tried to play a risky and forced social warrior role, where they lost.

Games like Tomb Raider, Shadow Of War, Jedi Fallen Order and may others sold very well on PC, so there's no reason to think the community wouldn't welcome Playstation exclusives.
Mojang was acquired for 2.4B... Warner Interactive is 4B... and it's the kind of purchase that can boost even further the first party presence and quality.
I wonder if Microsoft's interest in buying Warner Bros. Interactive will raise after knowing Sony's partnering with EPIC.

Spider-Man @60fps would be a huge improvement. That game would really take advantage of smooth gameplay.

Honestly, it was Tim Sweeney who brought all this PS5 vs. PC cr*p. PC will always top consoles sooner or later. This is a discussion we shouldn't even have.
