Perfect Dark in 3rd person please.

I'd add to the "Dream" category a $400 price tag. That'd be absolutely killer.

This game can be overwhelming, but once you understand the mechanics and story, it will become an hours eater.

You need to breathe and relax. This is not a hooligans cave. Also, take a second read to my post.

Sony mixed 1st, 3rd party and console reveal in one. Microsoft had so much to share that they dedicated months just to talk about hardware, services and new features and they just gave a brief introduction with 3rd party titles. June was definitely the month of Playstation, but but we all know all the meat (games) from Microsoft's side will be on July's show.

PS5 event was very good in terms of game content, but it had two major flaws:

1. No AAAs at lunch.
2. Absense of dates.

Microsoft has a lot of chances to "beat" Sony if they do address those. A great Halo Infinite + Forza 8 would already beat them on the launch window.

As for the rest... I'm not sure we can say one can beat the other until games are actually released, but we can say if the event met the expectatio...

Joke or not... that looks to be true. Sweeny and company have been promoting the PS5 more than any guy inside Playstation. This is definitely part of some kind of agreement they had (Epic have never taken sides so unashamedly)

Funny thing is... the best looking UE5 games are probably going to be on Series X, since Sony tends to use their own engines whereas Microsoft have squeezed UE with Gears, and will add more titles for showcasing it, like Hellblade 2 and the new game f...

Why attacking xbox fans? I can guarantee you that Xbox fanbase hasn't been more excited about the next gen console since the Xbox 360, which beat the PS3 (Indeed... the one that included "ThC C3ll") not only in sales but also in games at least in the first years until Mattrick screwed it up :D ... This time around though, Series X is looking even stronger and focused with Spencer leading it (better hardware, lots of studios and awesome services)

Wow! These guys at EPIC are working harder on PR than Aaron Greenberg.

Don't be surprised to see more PS5 exclusives on Epic Games Store.

Hope they optimize this monster in every platform. Looking at these and the latest demo, one can understand why it got pushed until November. It's incredibly ambitious in every aspect.

Wow... yeah... that last demo looked insanely difficult to render. No wonder why they're pushing next gen console versions after the launch window (or so it looks like)

@Pricey

=) ... We all know the RAM increase was in response to MS offering, which leaked before E3. That's how the market works though. I'm not against that.

What I am against, is misleading advertisement. I find it fair enough that you want to wait for benchmarks of multiplatforms to tell the actual difference. My bet is that it will show a difference way above the 17% many PS fans are expecting due to Sony's controversial strategy for sellin...

It's curious to see so many PS fans awaiting for a slim version before the original version is released.

Keep in mind it took 3 years for the PS4 slim to be launched.

I'm not a fan of the PS5 huge form factor but I guess I won't stand waiting for so long.

More CUs = More RT Cores. That won't be a disadvantage just like multicore wasn't back in the 360 days. I think you're trying to hard to find a power disadvantage on the Series X, but it just isn't there.

Btw... Cerny's expo felt like a handful of reasons (excuses) as of why they couldn't match the power of the already announced Series X. That "variable" clock figure is controversial because it just doesn't r...

Both will fly off the shelves at launch. Series X should outsell PS5 due to more production. Real competition will be seen 1 year+ down the road.

When people are being told they're geniuses too many times, they tend to produce things that are hard to digest. I've seen examples of this in music, movies and, in this case, gaming.

@Pricey

It's not that complicated. Just think about this:

~20-30% of more power on a ~30% smaller case. (XSX vs. PS5)

Which one's a bigger achievement?

2044d ago 5 agree4 disagreeView comment

Keep in mind the "cooling" solution for the Series X doesn't only involve the vapor chamber, form factor and physical design. They actually split the motherboard in two in order to achieve their power/size/cooling goals.

According to Arstechnica, PS5 will be the biggest console ever made with ~550 cubic inches (That's even bigger than the colosal original Xbox... yes the one from 2001) while the XSX will be 418 c.i.

That gives you ~30% o...

If it could sustain those variable - peak - clocks, then it wouldn't be an issue for developers. He doesn't have to redound on the obvious. That's the very point of "peak" clocks... they're not stable, they're hard to predict, hence, involves extra work for developers unless they just stick to the maximum sustained clocks the machine can offer. In PS5's case, it's said to be 9.3TFlops whereas on Series X it's (confirmed) 12TFlop...
