Saw Lost Odyssey for a tenner the other day, brand new. Holding off til after my finals before i pick it up though, RPGs get the better of me and it definitely wouldn't do my degree any good.
I'm the same as Jace, Halo: ODST just doesn't appeal to me. Although i understand there are a lot of Halo fans (and i mean A LOT) but other than the first game I've never really enjoyed a Halo game. In my opinion, ODST is by no means the most promising title on that list although I imagine it does have a lot of people excited. Mass Effect 2 I'm looking forward to a lot, especially after the list of improvements they're putting in. Splinter Cell and Alan Wake are up there too.
haha, the Michael Vick boxart would be awesome...
Agreed. Look at FFXII. Started production in 2001. It finally hit stores in Japan in 2006, and Hit Europe in 2007. That's a hell of a long development cycle.
Even in his old age, Snake was still cooler than Raiden. I have nothing against Raiden, in fact I like his character. But Snake is just awesome.
Personally, I loved ZOE, and I'm not a huge fan of mech based games. The control system was great and the setting was believable. Plus, didn't their reviews average out at around an 8 for both games? I'd take a new Zone of the Enders to be honest.
timmyrulz, just to play devil's advocate for a few minutes:
halo 3:ODST, announced at TGS 2008 with a CGI trailer, still not released.
Alan Wake, Shown in trailer form at E3 2006, still not released.
E3 2006, Huxley announced, still not out.
Both sides are guilty of it. I mean last year, Microsoft showed a CGI trailer of FFXIII, not due out till 2010. Sony showed a CGI trailer of MAG, rumoured for the end of the year/beginning of 2010. The r...

PAL region sales are actually pretty comparable if you look at these figures.

Yeah, tell me about it...
Ah, cool. I've learned something today.
I was under the impression Europe was the biggest market for gaming as well. It's also been the area that's most ambiguous with sales. That's why Sony and Microsoft are both stepping up their game.
Agreed. My PS3 and 360 get equal love. Although you should be careful, an unbiased statement such as this is asking for trouble ;)
Globally, between PS3 and 360 at least, things are pretty much neck and neck. All I see is slight increase in market share for Microsoft in America, slight increase of market share for Sony in Japan, and Europe still somewhat hazy. It's definitely close though.
The last thing i wanted to do was start an argument with this article, I just really like the concept for the game and thought other people might too.
And for all AOC's flaws, it received pretty favourable reviews from some big name sites. Its worth at least seeing what gets shown at E3 before writing this game off.
The article is from a month ago but i couldn't find an article on N4G that summarised everything as such so i thought people might be interested. Especially seeing as not many people have heard of this and its been announced for E3 :)

Taken from Bioware's official website. It's multi-platform.
Funnily enough, i just commented with the same thoughts. It's like baby didn't get his bottle and so the toys came out of the pram...
"we doubt the majority of current PS3 users will even care: it's not like the game utilizes the Cell Processor or something."
What a professional and unbiased statement. "Gameplayer.com.au" can cry me a river.
I don't watch HipHopGamer, his show has never remotely interested me, so i have no reason to chastise or defend him. I'm just pointing out that whenever someone pulls the whole sister card, or brother card, or dad, or mum, or girlfriend, or whatever, especially in the way he formulated his argument, they're usually crying wolf.
Plus, with how ridiculously secretive they keep games at Kojima Studios, with staff under NDAs etc, its a pretty stupid thing to start telling your famil...
I know that there's uncertainty with a lot of exclusives this generation but i really don't see Gears going multi-platform. Its one of Microsoft's big guns and has sold excessively.
