Just putting it out there to clarify ShinnokDrako's statement of how Microsoft and Variety are working together. I don't know if it actually means anything though...
Firstly, the 360 RROD is very rare these days, and for those unfortunate enough to experience it, you get a 3 year warranty so it's no biggie.
Secondly, there are more games than just Uncharted and MGS4 for the PS3, the "PS3 has no games" argument is pretty much outdated now as well.
Stop being pathetic.
It horrible to see so many people put out of work. Strange how it always happens around Christmas... And also for purely selfish reasons, EA are producing some quality titles at the moment so it sucks even more.
People are dissing her for being cheap, but say there's 100 people in the audience... at $200 a pop, that's $20000 for no apparent reason. I think that's pretty damn good to be honest.
I think it was more the "Got to laugh at PS3 fanboys here" comment, when most people were in fact just expressing how much they were looking forward to the game.
I personally think both sides have a strong line up this Christmas. Both PS3 and 360 owners can look forward to Fallout, Dead Space, Mirrors Edge etc.
I'm going to be picking up Resistance 2 and Valkyria Chronicles for PS3 and Left 4 Dead and Last Remnant for 360. As for the multiplats, i'll see w...
Nothing against the Wii, but the hardware wouldn't be able to handle LittleBigPlanet in it's current iteration. It needs one of the two more powerful consoles to deal with the physics, the amount of items you're able to put into levels, and the rather pretty graphics. Nintendo shouldn't have built this game, there are games more suited to the Wii's strong points.
I have to admit, i have a lot of love for Rogue Galaxy. And Level 5 in general. Waiting on WKC...
Yeah, i know what you're saying. And I've been an RPG fan for a lot longer than just the PS2. RPGs were my main choice of game when i was younger. That said, it's always good to try something a little different, diversify every now and again :) I do reckon you'd really enjoy the Star Ocean series if you gave a it a shot, it actually started on the Super Nintendo like over a decade ago and some of the influences are still there :) hopefully there's a demo before release so you can give it a ba...
Dude, Star Ocean games are spectacular. If this lives up to it's predecessors, you're going to love it.
I wasn't particularly bothered about GTA4 downloadable content, especially after getting the game. That said, some people really enjoyed the game and want more, it's not that difficult to understand. As long as download content doesn't take the piss by unlocking things already on the disc or something *cough* looking at you, SCIV...
Fallout is one of my favourite gaming series, and some of the things that go into the games are genius. It's been far too long between 2 and 3 for me...
While the games this generation do look very impressive, the technical jump graphically was not as substantial as the previous few generations. That said, with the focus shifting to physics and more subtle graphical touches, it's not difficult to realise that the games themselves are a hell of a lot more complex this time round.
I don't think you quite grasp the concept of screen resolution...
Crysis is a very good looking game, but there's no way in hell that it should require such high spec computers to run. Crytek just needed to optimise the engine better, which they confirmed they have done for Crysis: Warhead. apparently it will run on high settings on a much more reasonable computer.
"We can confirm that Killzone 2 will indeed be in Killzone 2."
Killzone 2 will be in Killzone 2? You'd kind of hope so really.
I never said it looked bad. In fact, i specified why i was quite interested in the game and how the idea behind is very intriguing.
Then, after saying I'm looking forward to another 360 exclusive more, i get disagreed to high hell. People need to grow up. I don't mean you either man, i know you didn't flame me or anything.
To be honest, i dont think this looks all that hot from a graphical perspective. That said, the concept is really intriguing so i'm keeping my eye on it to see how it turns out. Much more exciting about Star Ocean though!
I know it's still early days, but colour me unimpressed as well.
I think he meant actual numbered games, and i thought the same thing. Games have become a lot more complex, which is why despite what some people would have you think, there are considerably less great games coming out on each console each year.
I will probably get disagreed to high hell, and i also anticipate parroted, list based responses that will either start "Too Human, Gears 2, Banjo..." or "resistance 2, LBP, GoW3..." but the fact is, it just takes so m...
Haha, totally agree. My girlfriend loved the first two, but she's also a big Final Fantasy fan as well to boot. Unfortunately, she loves Cloud a little too much. He'd be pretty tough competition for me but i have the upper hand of being real :P
If i understand it, it means that an American copy of these games works in 360s from other regions such as the EU and Australia and vice versa etc.
The fact these two games are region free is peculiar, because DVDs are usually locked and only playable in specific regions as a form of moderation on imports and piracy.
