The impressive thing is, Reviewers are bound to be more critical after GTA4 disappointed a lot of people. If it gets 9s and 10s across the board, the score is probably completed deserved based on what The Lost and the Damned delivers. Kudos to Rockstar.

In answer to the original question, yes you need the original game on the 360 to run the DLC.
Guess your statement proves just how superior pc gamers are. I mean, if you were playing Quake 3 when Goldeneye came out, you must have got it 2 years before it even released. I wish i could pull stuff like that off... Even Half-Life released well over a year after Goldeneye did.
I have Killzone downloading on my PS3 and Halo Wars downloading on my 360 as I speak, canne wait :) what's the general consensus on the demo? I've seen quite a few positive things on sites for Halo Wars, but i wouldn't expect anything less from Ensemble.
The only difficulty i found getting into it is that they naturally haven't given us any cut scenes to initially set the scene. I think people will feel differently when they play the full game because they'll be pushed into the scenario with a better understanding of each character's primary intentions. Immersion is the key thing here in my opinion, Resident Evil 4 would've been the same if they'd bypassed the opening cut scene and just put Leon in a village shooting things from the off.

...But with 2.6 I had a brief moment where it froze when trying to load Mirrors Edge straight after the update. The cooling fan kicked in to it's highest setting and then my screen flashed green and the console shut itself down. I panicked briefly, vacuumed the dust out of the vents and left it a few hours, and now it's been perfectly fine since for everything I've played. Have to say though, it was quite nerve wracking.
