I don't think it is completely to do with complexity. Valve and Microsoft enjoy a close relationship, Gabe was at Microsoft for 13 years and his work there was very lucrative for him. Microsoft gave him the opportunity to do what he does now essentially, and I don't think he would forget that.
I'm definitely excited to see how they implement a 4 player co-op mode, I cant think of a game that is open world like this that has tried it yet.
Actually, Evil Rant Monkey, you make yourself look like a clown by misunderstanding what Pennywise said and then attacking him for it. He was saying InFamous and Prototype's stories revolve around one person and his reluctant heroism/infamy, and therefore doesn't need 4 player.
On topic, 4 player co-op for Crackdown does sound awesome, you could cause some serious carnage there.
It is a bit soon but if the AI director overhaul is as drastic as they say then it does require a complete game overhaul. I'm personally looking forward to the game, the first one cost me £30 on release day and considering the amount of time i put in to Left4Dead another £30 this november isn't too big a deal.
That said, the Left4Dead middle finger picture is genius.

Crackdown 2, Left4dead 2, Alan Wake, Conviction. All look awesome. Natal, I'm really not a fan of... People are declaring it the second coming, but I personally dont think it was ready to be shown. The pre-rendered American Dream trailer, followed by this live display... It's an interesting concept, but it definitely needs work.

I just don't see the appeal in phone consoles. They always look so bulky for actual practical phone use and the battery life gets raped. N-gage anyone? In my honest opinion, the Playstation and Sony Ericsson branches should be kept separate.

I was the same, except i saved Ashley because her and Wrex were my main powerhouse team. Never used Kaidan really. Was glad i put my paragon skill up so i could talk Wrex down though, my mate had to kill him. Is it bad that i didn't even batter an eyelid at the end when i killed the council? They just annoyed me all the way through so it was like "dont care..."

I agree with you 36T. Although i just want to laugh at the fact that when i say gears will stay exclusive, i get agrees. When i say i'm not a huge fan of Halo (although acknowledge many others are) and am more excited about Mass Effect 2, I get mystery disagrees. Just want to point out that fanboys on this site are from a broad spectrum, not just the PS3 side :)
