According to an article from Gamespot (one from after the game's release this year, not a surfergirl system wars forum post from 2008 like the one you linked) Killzone cost roughly $20million to make, and like I said, it sold a million in just over a month. Add on the sales from the following months and I stand by my statement that it's ...

The fact it hit a million sales after a month of retail also kind of dismisses your flop statement. If you add sales from April, May, June, July and August to that, I'm sure Killzone is doing just fine.

Liquid Ocelot - 1 hour ago
"Mass Effect 2 looks and plays 10 times better then both uncharted games but then both Uncharted games look like up-scaled Ps2 games.

@below no i wasn't being sarcastic."

Double standards indeed.

I'm pretty sure that twitch shooting and regaining health when you hide behind boxes aren't a part of real life military service.

I thought they'd both sold around the 300,000 mark but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure which I'd pick up first... Long time Final Fantasy fan, but hated X-2, 11 and 12. Loved Mass Effect, and want to see how the story continues.

Also, if people in Ethiopia could afford to buy water, you wouldn't be able to make that (poorly informed) "joke".

I don't necessarily think that would be smart of them. Thinking about it, Microsoft have made a substantial amount of headway this generation, it's a much more recognisable console brand. They've already surpassed the sales of the original Xbox with the 360 and if they continue to grow into the next generation then I could see it being a lucrative market for them. I don't see any of the 3 companies going anywhere to be honest.

It's being marketed as an interactive movie psychological thriller.

Really? I thought the "love" trailer was superb. What put you off?

You do have a time limit for life and death situations like this. In the Madison nightclub scenario there's a part where you have to choose how to prevent a guard from entering the room while you beat his boss for information. If you take too long to react the guard enters and everything goes tits up.

Yeah, the Ethan Mars trailer from yesterday was absolutely epic. His little monologue about life and his perception of it made me want to go the distance to keep him alive.

Murderdolls is right. Whilst I personally don't enjoy Halo games, the Halo name sells. As he said, 10mil+ on Halo 3. It will more than likely clean up at retail. The question isn't which game is better, but more anticipated. Uncharted is still building it's fanbase, Halo is a more established franchise.

Yeah, I can see your point. I'm interested to see what the UK price point is. It hasn't been mentioned yet, but I have the distinct feeling we wont be in keeping with the $/E100 off policy.

I can't tell if you're both taking the pìss or genuinely believe what you are saying, but the current economic state we're in in the UK has nothing to do with Gordon Brown or immigrants. It's more to do with how easily banks were willing to hand out mortgages to clients who had no sufficient means to pay them back, and also probably worsened due to banks lending to and from each other. Because they lent money amongst themselves, when one hit financial dire straits the others felt the rep...
