Wrong comment section, sorry :)
It's funny you should say I don't know my own law as I actually practice law :) Castle Doctrine, whilst based on English Common Law, is very much an American legal concept. Baring in mind that criminal legislation in the UK has developed so much since time immemorial, particularly through the Criminal Justice Act.
As cliche as the example is, Tony Martin shot down a burglar and was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, later reduced to manslaughter.
Also, I appr...
I clearly stipulated in the UK. Castle Doctrine is US law. Learn to read.
And Mr Bun, I completely agree, the law is wrong. I would probably beat the hell out of an intruder by any means necessary, burglars really pîss me off.
I'm not 100% on the US law regarding these kind of situations, but if this was the UK there's a high chance the student would be sent down for this.
Over here we have a right to use reasonable force to protect ourselves, but grabbing a weapon preemptively and hacking the intruder to death would likely constitute excessive force.
Homonyms are words that are spelled and pronounced the same, yet have different meanings. For example, the word "bank". Meanwhile, synonyms are words with similar meanings.
I can't help but feel you mean synonyms, although I suppose you're right too; "enduring" and "supporting" aren't homonyms :)
Remember this:

You 9 days ago. What changed in that time?
Most of the multinational electronics companies have patents on different technologies. Microsoft will license it out to companies for a fee and it's just a matter of Sony striking up a deal to pay royalties for it. It's not a big deal to implement it on the PS3, it's just business.
It's a valid point. People are petty enough to lie. It's funny how the people who seem to be hit the most by all the failings of current gen consoles are purely from this site... That said, the problems are legitimate. The scale by which they are though is debatable. My 60GB is fine, my brother's 80GB is fine, my mate's 80GB suffers occassional freezing on Uncharted now.
I can understand your upset. My PS3 updated perfectly fine but my mate treated himself and bought Uncharted for his PS3 the other day only for it to freeze up on him after the update.

Is that list genuinely their email addresses or just an educated guess?
Despite all the hate from people, it saddens me as they've had a cracking few games come out this gen. Dead Space is still one of my favourites.
It's funny you should say that, because looking through the EA forums the number of N4G members that have signed up today just to wage war is hilarious. It's like a family picnic almost... N4G should flashmob big name forums more often.
NGS was one of the first titles i got for my PS3 about 2 years ago and it convinced me to buy a HDTV. Kind of shows how sharp it is.
Off topic, how is Batman? I enjoyed the demo and the reviews have been positive, but I'm concerned it would get repetitive quite quickly.
Agree with the love for Valkyria Chronicles. It was a fantastic game. Its a shame it sold so poorly, people don't know what they're missing.
That said, the sales figures for Valkyria quoted in this article are about a quarter of what they've actually reached, they're pushing half a million now :)
Bashing can be fun when you're in one of those moods I guess, but two wrongs don't make a right :P
In my last house there were six of us. We had 5 360s, 2 PS3s and 4 pretty capable gaming rigs, not to mention all the PS2s, a Dreamcast etc etc. Our last electricity bill was £580. They aren't kidding when they say this is an expensive hobby :(
Chris Buffa loves to stir the old pot, people shouldn't take his articles so seriously.
Running with a 50 cal unrealistic? I don't know what you're talking about, I thought everyone could sprint while duel wielding M107s and using both scopes :P
Oner - I also apologise for the learn to read comment. It was a bit out of order...
As for how the UK is a disaster in this area of law, this very recent case is a bit of an eye opener. You should give it a read:
