I'd like to see what Rockstar does with LA Noir. Recreating LA on a double layer BD with streaming media sounds like a winner.
I wonder if it will use the ps eye as well.
When is it being released? I hope it's as good as takedown.
You can advertise your product truthfully and effectively without resorting to those types of slams of your competitor.
He might be the forum manager but the press release says what it says.
I haven't really followed any of her "inside info". Does any of it ever come true?
Your okay Kohl. Ritek made the statement. They were stating that even their ten layer Blu-Ray disc (With the same technology applicable to HD DVD as well) would not be readable on current players.

I'm glad we've established that you put a lot more stock into what someone thinks on a message board than I do. If you think his hunch about what a movie exec may or may not be speculating is valid there is nothing I can do to stop you. As for me I decided that unless he had a quote or proof his opinion didn't count for much. But that's just me.
The game looks fresh and different. I'm really looking forward to it.
The problem with the triple layer disc is because the way it is made none of the current players can read it. Something to do with how the laser diode was made to read through the layers. A ten layer Blu-Ray disc would have the same shortcoming.

Your entire post just got dismissed once you stated the words and I quote "I think".
I thought Heavy Rain was coming out on both consoles?
Some developers develop for the art more than the profits. They want to see how much of what's in their mind's eye can be actually put down on canvas or on disc media in this case.
I applaud developers that try to use the best avenue they can to make their artistic dreams a digital reality. Whether it be a Wii remote game or a game that requires bleeding edge console technology to make it happen.
This one will be the first final fantasy game I've ever played. The hype is too powerful for my will. It's sucking me in to it's promised euphoric goodness.
I heard they are going to have damage but not immediately. I'd rather they at least have damage effect the car even if they don't show it graphically until later.
Sounds like the game has a great story line but just has some technical issues that are to hard to ignore that takes you out of the experience.
Why would Bioware a company long known to release excellent titles go ahead and go gold with a game that has those kind of issues?
Poor Larry Dixon (the author of the article). He is going to get his site hacked.
That's quite a range in there numbers. 45k to 75k.
It seems weird that a supposedly reputable publication would write such an article. Didn't seem like he liked anything about the game. They must be trying to draw web traffic.
I really don't understand why he even bothered to write the article if he wasn't even going to attempt to be objective.
I'm sorry but when I first saw the ocean pics in Lair I had to put it up as a desktop background.
