MS should be glad Moore might be leaving. He is an unprofessional exec. If I were a stockholder in MS I wouldn't be impressed by his demeanor, language, appearance, or tactics.
Verra Verra Nice. Just when you think games can't look any better.
And another problem for HD-DVD cdzie is that PS3 is outpacing HD-DVD players by a huge amount. Eventually that 2:1 ratio will only grow.
Ken Graffeo is an idiot! Blu-ray will only be embraced by Universal after he gets fired. He picked the wrong format to back for his company and now he has to defend his choice to the bitter end to save his job and his rep.
I hope whatever money Toshiba gave him along with his severance package will be enough for him to get by on.
Is it true that you only get a 90 day warranty on the refurbed one that they send to you for a replacement and it only covers the red rings none of the other problems?
Only problem is with repetitive games like racers (circling a track) you don't notice the graphics after the first few moments. The framerate might actually be more important.
Why would you tell everyone 2 weeks ahead of time? Are you trying to kill your sales for the next 2 weeks while everyone waits. I'm still not buying it until they put in the 65nm processors.
Phil is highly intelligent and polished. Peter Moore just seems a little bit shady to me. Or as Reggie Bush would put it ...
What he is saying is true but it's bad form to openly criticize your competitor in business. Bringing attention to your competitor's weaknesses should be done strictly by showing your own product's strengths. Telling the consumer how great your offering is infers that the competitors offering is weaker.
WOW OMG WOW just WOW!
to (Angry typing guy) Petey? Is that you?
It seems like there are three types of 360's since they haven't changed much in the build process.
Those that are broken.
Those that have been broken but are now refabed and on the next UPS truck to someone's house.
And those that will break any day now if played for too long.
That is just a cool concept for a game. I can't wait to try it.
They better spend their time debugging the heck out of the game instead of making a demo
Does that mean I'll be able to have PS3 vs PC matchups without having to pay for LIVE for Windows Vista?
I'm trying to find jaggies
That pretty much sums up the intent of the manufacturers. Quality vs Haste. I wonder how much it cost MS to repair and replace each console. $120? $150? $200? They're losing almost a half a billion because of haste.
One out of every three goes bad? I wonder how many are broken and people were just too scared/indifferent/dumb to return it.
How long will it take for MS to fix the problem? I think if they weren't developing the Elite and had focused on troubleshooting these problems would be behind them.
This would be horrible for the Wii. Microsoft will lower their price and what is Nintendo going to do then?
Forza probably doesn't crash much more often than any other game but it's just the thought that the 360 would have any new problems is what likely caused gamers to flock to the threads and made Microsoft delete the threads.
I'm a PS3 owner but I defintely don't want the Microsoft to get out of the console race. I hope the shareholders understand how the business works. Competition is what keeps Sony, MS and Nintendo sharp.
