That's okay on the download thing. I'd rather keep my bandwith for gaming, surfing, and music if I can help it.
Actually Blu-Ray is winning 9:1 in Japan and between 3:1 to 5:1 in Europe. The US is the only place where the war is as close as 2:1. I think HD-DVD supporters conveniently forget that fact every time.
Every Nielsen number you see is only looking at US figures.

I'm wondering if someone is hacking the Live network? Sony sold just as many PS3's over the last two months and their service is just fine with the influx of new devices.
I don't blame them though. I would ask for compensation as well. Microsoft should refund everyone the cost of the month of December. At least give it to them in live points so MS doesn't lose much.
Uncharted spoiled me with getting to play through an entire game without a single load time. All games from here on out should be that way no exceptions.

The gist of the podcast is that 1up guys are criticizing Sony for not releasing a product when it isn't completely done. They want Sony to release an incomplete product I guess because they are impatient.
One guy even mentions that Xbox live didn't have much when it was first released (like a lot of microsoft products service packs anyone?) so why can't Sony do the same thing.

I call my cable company and get credits from them when they experience a service outage. If I had to pay for my PS3 service I would call them as well.

I was wondering when they were going to start taking advantage of the PS3 graphics with the MLB and NBA franchises. The visuals always sucked with their games. They should be able to make the premier baseball and basketball titles with the programming resources they have access to inhouse.
I wouldn't mind downloading an HD movie I would just like the option of owning it so I could watch it for free at a later time rather than having to re-rent it.
I'm a gamer and I personally like to be kept up to date on the format war. There are a lot of articles in N4G that I just ignore when I'm not interested. I don't have time to read every article anyway.

In worldwide sales I believe the PS3 will start selling more than the 360. But it won't be enough to make up the year head start.
PS3 sales will jump significantly at these points.
-Grand Theft Auto 4 is released. Both consoles will sell tons of units for the first Next Gen only release.
-Metal Gear Solid 4 is released. PS3 will win new converts and start selling the same as the 360 monthly in the US with this release.
