It's worth considering what the best option for a larger HDD would be. MS could have installed a 2TB or larger, but it would have cost more than adding your own equivalent, that's just common sense. Can anyone suggest a gaming site where people discuss games and technology in a rational, meaningful way, rather than just slagging each other off for not owning THEIR favourite console or PC. I know this is the 'boiler room' , but it's becoming a creche!

I hate this game. Although for £6.00 maybe, I'll learn to love it. But to be honest (I have steam version of game) it's nothing more than I poor attempt at recreating the EOB series of thirty years ago, but failing. If you like this old skool stuff, which I do, then you can buy EOB I,II and III as a pack from steam or GOG for less them this game. Yeah the graphics aren't there, but the game play is superior in everyway. Or you could try Legend of Grimrock, again from Steam or...

Oh c'mon guys, anyone that purchased an X knew exactly what to expect. Files are large because they are 4K, not because they are for the X. I wonder what size HDD's PC gamers have, or what PS4 pro users will upgrade to. Just in my PC, I have a 480GB SSD for OS + Raid 1 4TB pair for software + 3TB external for backup. Then a Pair of 3TB for my NAS and many other storage options, It comes with the territory. Don't make out this is some hidden obstacle nobody knew about. Jeez, you gu...

TBH, my X1 ran hotter than X1X. I think the nature of the design for cooling works better with the heat being drawn out rear. Don't think it would operate to well vertically, if it was vented at the top. Just an educated guess, though.

I noticed that also. Long boot up time, but all good once it was done. Although, mine was a little stubborn at first :) Now I have that new electronics smell !

So reminiscent of Eye of the Beholder stuff from yesteryear, and more recent efforts like Legend of Grimlock. I love this old style. Well worth a few quid. Why can't we have 4 player co-op with this type of game?

Yeah, when you look at it that way 60FPS doesn't sound so exciting.

Do you really want to know? This goes back a long time, but the condensed version is this. Software is written for specific frames per second, that is to say, each new screen of information is written to update at say 30 times a second. Old crt's displays used to have a refresh rate (refresh rate and FPS are NOT the same) of 60HZ. This means it 'refreshes' the screen 60 times a second. Now, if a game is written at 30 frames, but refreshed at 60, the result is an exact multiple. So...

It's fine, really. I had a an initial hiccup at setup, but resolved and running fine now. I really don't understand this site, it's extremely juvenile.I would love to see the break down of the demographics for it's users.

Fallout 4 is known for these issues, regardless of platform. But whatever, If you're machine is the exception to this, then good for you, I'm happy that's the case. I won't play your games, no matter how hard you try. Great gaming, Razzer.

If you HAVE to choose just ONE, then it's a good a choice as any, depending on your subjective view of things.

Yeah, as usual you are preaching to the converted. The people who accept your message are already aware of it, and don't need it. The people who it's aimed at, don't understand your view point and will never accept it. Not a criticism, just how things work with people. And just in case you are wondering, I'm already aware of your message :)

I believe, it used to be around 1% of product. Not sure if that's the figure now. The other thing to note with electronics is lifetime. Generally, if product doesn't fail at 'new', it generally won't fail until it's end of life.

I'm sure it won't be RR2, but it is, a great console. How good, we'll know once we start to see stuff really designed to take advantage of it. Yep, in general, competition is good.

Man, £3.00! That's an insult! Sorry, I'm chuckling as I write this, but £3.00. I hope you get your X1X soon, it is a great console, although I had my own issues with it, initially.

New Zelda games built from the ground up for Switch is the way to go.

I play PC for all my games that need real CPU power, but for other stuff the inconsistencies and faffing to get thing working optimally pisses me off. I have Divinity II on PC and its' awesome, but some games can be such a pain to setup and run consistently. AS a PC gamer, I know you can appreciate what I'm saying. These days, for me console gaming is simply easier.

No. 60FPS, is not a conversation, it translates into something very real. A less responsive game, which leads to a less immersive experience. Higher resolutions result in more immersion, so why deny frame rate as a similar effect? What is doesn't do is make a crap game good, but it will always make a great game better, imho.
