"I hope this means that:

1. Third parties throw wii owners a bone"

Realistically speaking, this is probably not going to happen -- at least not if I read what you mean by 'a bone' correctly. What Wii owners got in 2009 -- and are going to be getting in 2010 -- is looking like it's going to be the extent of traditional non-Nintendo support.

Two things to keep in mind: The third-party situation has been more or less the same since the syst...

"75 third party Wii games shipped over 1m copies"

Actually, that number's Wii million-sellers overall. The actual number of third-party million-plussers was 54.

Of course, this still means that there are two-and-a-half times as many third-party million selllers as there are first-party.

"Nintendo games sold 27.5 million units, compared to 44.9 million units for third parties"

So, Wii owners buy a lot more third party games, but are willing to pay more for first party. Is this information supposed to be surprising?

"You may not go into other sections and start wars but you and other users here act like bullies to people."

If I have ever bullied you, or if you believe I have ever bullied you, I apologize.

However, if you believe that because I can laugh about someone who said that everyone who disagreed with him needed to be put in concentration camps (seriously), then I am therefore just as bad as him -- well, if you believe that, you are wrong.

Good grief, I must have missed that part when I read through -- he *seriously* said that part about best interests?

Yeah, like when the NES introduced region locking to consoles, they did that to protect us from playing games with Japanese text in them. If we could play imports on our systems, madness and death would surely ensue. Thanks, 80s Nintendo!

Part of the problem is that a lot of people on this site live in the US, and NOA chooses to ignore a lot of those games too.

S&P2 in particular has me concerned because it was supposed to be a Q1 release but is nowhere to be found on the list of Q1 releases. Reggie keeps saying it's coming, but on the other hand, Reggie says a lot of things. :/

"Nintendo's main problem is they aren't making any new IP's. The games that have come out are sequels or remakes in previous franchises."

This is a valid concern, although to be fair it applies more to Nintendo of America than, say, Nintendo of Japan. Over there, they do their best to encourage stuff like Another Code R, Captain Rainbow, Disaster, or Zangeki no Reginleiv.

"I suggest a point card."

Man, that reminds me of the day...

"We are just going to prove those clowns wrong, and then they are just going to preach the same sh!t on the next bait article. 7_7 "

Of course. You have to understand that nothing ever gets 'proven' around here, because to prove something to someone requires communication, and communication requires common ground. The point has been reached where there is almost no common ground on this issue.

"My info says that Little King's Story sold 160K, and Muramasa 180K...could you cite your sources that say that they sold less than 100K? "

I suspect this request is going to go unfulfilled since at least one of those numbers comes directly from the people who sold the game.

"As for Wii owners, they should be tired of games like Wii Fit too but it's still in the top ten best sellers of the month"

Bad example. It's unlikely that Wii Fit itself is in the top ten best sellers of each month, per se. The Balance Board is. Standalone third-party exercise games and games in the same vein as Carnival Games are actually way down this year.

If Extraction had been released before Umbrella Chronicles or House of the Dead 2/3, it proba...

In all fairness to Square, the Crystal Chronicles spin-offs were always kind of quirky in the gameplay department. It's one of the few series filled with entries from both the town building simulation and tower defense genres.

Dragon Quest X will probably be a more traditional RPG experience -- assuming that it's far enough in development that they can't use Bearers as an excuse to renege on that one.

Anyone else remember way back when it was first announced that the CC sub-series would be going to Nintendo platforms and the internet went completely *crazy* over that because it was perceived as such a major betrayal or whatever? It was even worse than the response to the whole XIII multi-platform announcement.

Fun times.

Endless Ocean 2 or the Lego Harry Potter games are probably the best bets for 8 year olds. The latter especially if there's someone to do 2 player with.

"Do you need the classic controller to play this game? I do not wanna use wii remote even if you can."

The way Capcom's advertised it, I believe you can play it with virtually any control option under the sun: Wii remote, Classic controller, Gamecube controller, or even that specially designed arcade joystick.
