I have nothing to say otehr than I think it's cute when people use Wikipedia and VGCharts as "facts". Just to keep you in check, sure, we don't need Japan... unless of course you want to continue evolving technology and have games to play. Last time I checked they were kind of a global hub for taht kind of thing. And that's common sense, no need for wikipedia here.
I could upscale ET for the 2600 up to 1080p too... but imagine the jaggies!
I have to admit... I personally see this as a bad move. This is a fault that will be highlighted by ALL media outposts, and is just more fuel for the fanboy fire. But such a low price for a PS3 with blu-ray is a pretty great deal either way.
I think multiplayer would feel tacked on in this game. ND puts a lot of work into the single player experience, and honestly, I don't take most of my games online even if they can.
Yeah, it's the percentage that are acceptable to be sold to consumers.
*insert generic jab at 360 yield rates here*
1. Why did you even come into this thread if you obviously haven't played Heavenly Sword or a PS3?
2. I like how you classify "AAA" as a game that has a 90 or above on metacritic. Are you 14? Can you not make your own decisions?
"lol, I disagreed. That'll really stick it to Sony!"
Motorstorm 2 should look great when they get it all sorted out, and with updated Havok the physics stuff should really be over the top.
The article makes it sound like MS had Bungie as slaves, or rather shaercroppers, and now that their debt is paid, they're allowed to leave. Hooray for history class! Seriously though...
MS - "Halo 3 is... acceptable... you may go"
My opinion: I think that the reason this game has been pushed back so far is because of space constraints with the DVD. It doesn't look nearly as good as what they showed even a year ago, because of reduced textures and whatnot, which also screams space constraint to me. Because it's not a linear experience, you can't put it on multiple discs.
Also my opinion: The game looks great. There's been a lack of decent RPGs for a long while now, and I look forward to this game to fill ...
Obviously SOMEONE noticed it or they never would have bothered to even measure the pixels in the first place. Also, the response by Bungie sounds like a cop-out excuse for "the hardware just couldn't do what we wanted it to". Which is a bad thing. Halo 3 = Great FPS; this news, however, does not bode well for the 360 hardware as a whole. You know MS gave Bungie their top-of-the-line dev tools, and butt-loads of money. You know Bungie's work is the pinnacle of what can be done on the...
I don't normally comment without something to add to the discussion... but dude above me ^^... please take some English classes and grammar lessons, and for the love of god, don't breed until after you have done so. Seriously, I nearly had a seizure during the first line.
Yeah... the 1080i issue got fixed... like a long while ago... when they enabled scaling.
No offense to you individually... but Blacksite looks like mediocre @ss.
Let's get this straight: You can do a lot more with console RAM than you can with PC RAM. Especially when you have XDR. RAM isn;t going to be the biggest problem with either system, it's going to be bandwidth (both) and storage capacity (360).
Honestly? It's Microsoft... it's only a matter of time before another pile of sh*t hits the proverbial fan. They've never released a product that didn't take 4-8 years to fix properly, and I see no reason to think that the 360 will be any different. It's just how they do business. I'll just never understand why people put up with their crap.
MS - "Here's a big pile of crap, and no just any crap, untested and unfinished crap. Maybe we'll fix it at some point, right before w...
I know Jordan from over at the PS3Forums. He's a well-respected guy over there, but I hop that in this case, he isn't right.
Sony didn't buy the FF franchise, Square wanted a bigger storage medium and they knew that, cartridge or CD, they would need more than one. CD was the cheapest way to go, so they went with PSOne.
The sheer number of animations in this game is amazing. Just look at all of them. Theres even a specific animation for when he attacks a person near that short block and bend him over it at the end of video 2.
Well, it may have to do with the fact that the article starts with talking about Sony's "dismal" generation. It really hasn't been that bad. People were expecting miracles from the numbers like "100 million sold first week ZOMG!!!", and it didn't happen. It's been far from dismal. the 360 did about the same in the same period of time when only competition it had for the next gen was itself. People see what they want to see, and obviously this writer sees a very pessimistic...
