Sega also made a 6-button controller for fighting games I think.
I don't know why everyone is so shocked by this. Most consoles have gotten a new controller in their lifetime. PS1 had no rumble, then the dualshock. Xbox had that abomination of a controller that my mammoth hands couldn't even manipulate well. The NES had so many different controllers it wasn't even funny. Sony is releasing a new controller. Who cares? Personally I've only notices once that rumble wasn't there, and that was with a racing game. If we good it back, alright, but I wasn't going ...
Why try to whore online into an FF game? It could be cool in the Gold Saucer, but anything beyond that would just piss off fans. Just because it's on a next gen system, DOES NOT mean that it needs to have online in it.
The fact remains that they are still RRODing. I should have waited for 65nm chipsets. Quite a few RRODs are caused by heat warping the motherboard, causing the pins of the GPU to pull out of the board. Who makes a motherboard that warps under "normal" operating temperatures?
How would you even do online in HS? It wouldn't even make sense...
I agree. It's really a great experience...
They know people would buy a PS3 just to play it, like they did with PS1. Besides, Sony owns the publishing rights in the US.
EDIT: Below me. Yeah, I have the PC version too. But I have the PS version as well, and Sony owns the rights to that. They had to give Eidos permission to publish it for PC, because Sony doesn't really touch PC. Also, Sony owns a majority share in SE, so they have a big say as a shareholder in what goes on with the company. They won't let FFVII or XIII ...
@gta
MS wants just that to happen. They want people to stop posting things about it. They want to push it under the carpet and forget about it. By keeping it in the spotlight, it forces them to address the issue, and maybe ACTUALLY fix it one day, not just extend the warranty. The squeeky wheel gets the oil, or so they say...
I disagreed with you. Just because there are 2 games YOU are waiting for, doesn't mean that everyone else shares that with you. I, personally, Am looking forward to Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Killzone 2, LBP, Time Crisis 4, Haze, UT3, and of course FFXIII and MGS4. I've got plenty to keep me, and my wallet, busy. But thank god I wrote this reply, lest I be a f@g who touches children...
EDIT: I'm going to post the same challenge. If you disagreed with me, tell me why? Was it ...
US release date?
It's rally not that hard to deflect the attacks, you just have to press triangle a split second AFTER the attack hits you. Any earlier and you'll probably miss it and end up getting hit.
You say it like there's something wrong with lesbians?
I liked this a lot better than God of War 2, personally.
It's really only 3 features. Wi-fi, which is directly related to Live, so if you don't have a land line for ethernet in the room the 360 is in and you want Live, that's at least an extra $99, assuming you already have a router in your home. The other is HD movie format, which more and more people are looking for. I, personally, wanted all of the above, so my first console was a PS3. It offered the most features for the lowest price.
Come on... my name isn't THAT hard to remember... Either way, I don't play games online anymore. I don't want to pay extra money to play games online, and I'm sick of people spamming the mic. I've staretd playing Warhawk, and it's been good to me so far. No problems getting into games, and I'm not hardcore enough to play ranked games so I don't have to worry about losing my rank. I'm playing Bioshock as well, by the way. On my PC. at 1600x1200. With full settings. I quite like it. Also... you...
At least I feel confident about the physical future of my PS3. I know it's not gonna brick. I can't say the same about my 360. I'm almost afraid to turn it on anymore... I know I can get it replaced if something does happen, but for that money, I shouldn't have to even worry about dealing with that...
... who are you going to trust? Cuz I'd go with the developer... you know... cuz he's working on the game...
I'd buy it. I couldn't place the quote at first, and even before I remembered what it was from, it still seemed funny to me. Reminded me of the time my buddy's 360 that his game would only work in an Xbox360 console. We both sat there for a minute before busting out laughing like "Yeah, that's why we put it in you..." Only MS can make a game system with an identity crisis.
UGH! Why are people so damn hung up on Online and Muiltiplayer?!? It's a single-player game, meant to be enjoyed alone, not some d-bag frat boy hump-fest. Not every game is meant to be ruined by teenage mic-spammers, some aspire to loftier goals, like a story. It's all the "new" gamers who are pushing the industry into this pit of mediocrity. Games used to be about story, and the only real multiplayer games were fighting games and co-op games like Contra. I would kill to leave most ...
As someone who has done programming with the Cell in my classes, let me tell you that it is a beast of monstrous proportions. It can do things no other commercial processor could dream about. The only devs that whine about using the Cell are lazy ones. It IS a completely different architecture than most of them are likely used to, most game programmers have little to no experience programming for a parallel processor. Threading is different, memory allocation is different, and branching algor...
