TLOU2 really did on number on some people.

I assume that the monster battles at 60fps are so taxing on the hardware that they had to scale back the graphics in some areas. Bayonetta 2 (2014) honestly looks better graphically from the footage shown so far, and had a more colourful art direction.

I suppose these games wouldn't exist if Nintendo didn't fund them, so it is what it is. Sony and MS really messed up when they turned Bayonetta 2 down (MS doubly so since they also cancelled Scalebound). A Bayonetta 3...

The best looking, most detailed AAA games out there like TLOU2 and RDR2, while incredible looking, don't literally look real. They can't fool your mind.

I have to say, this footage is insane. Very convincing. I wonder if the illusion is maintained when you crash.

EDIT: at 3:47, it still looks mostly real when he crashes besides the human ragdoll clipping the bike.

The PS5 definitely has big hitters in those months but my point about February remains. It has much more officially dated games than March right now and should probably be avoided. https://www.gameinformer.co...

I think Horizon Forbidden West (February) will also get more buzz than GT7 (March), at least among the American audience where Halo is most prominent, so March is better for that reason as ...

I know this is just the beta, but with them already cutting so many features at launch (campaign co-op, Forge, assassination animations, no traditional progression system), and still having issues like this, they should probably just delay it until February or March (less crowded).

I think they're likely trying to pressure the team to finally finish it by trying to set a firm deadline, but if it's not ready, it's not ready. From what I've heard, the core gam...

You know, it doesn't really matter, but I'd prefer if it had a title more like "Death Stranding: Subsistence".

I've never played the OG version of MGS3. The 3D camera in the Subsistence version just seemed a lot more intuitive. I've always wanted them to go back and add the 3D camera into MGS2.

Flicking back to OG perspective just to see what it was like made me glad Subsistence is the version I played. I suppose to some extent,...

The improvements seem to have made the game a bit less divisive than the original version, and significantly more fun to play.

The MGS-style Ruined Factory area in the trailers is supposed to be great but a bit too short. It's described in the Screen Rant review, but I'm looking forward to feeling what this is like on a Dualsense.

From looking at the 2 reviews getting the most attention on N4G right now, you'd honestly think this has a Metacritic of around 60.

Currently at 87. What's with the negativity, lads?

This version has some extra songs as well.

87 on Metacritic. Seems to be a big improvement over the original version.

Battlefield 2042 might be good. The Vanguard beta had the worst lag I've ever experienced (no issue with other online games). The gameplay didn't necessarily seem bad to me, just very bland and skippable.

Pretty sure this is Zmorin18 (banned).

They've only made one particularly bad game but it wasn't really their fault though. They were forced to make it generic (originally called Overwatch).

[EA-published Fuse flashback/PTSD]

My only request for Wolverine is that it's 18+, minimum 15+. I want the claws to do some damage and I want to see the healing factor in action. I think the trailer does hint that it will be a lot more violent than Spider-Man.

I'm not putting words in his mouth. He wrote almost exactly the same comment under an article about the lawsuit itself as it was filed: https://n4g.com/news/243101...

"how is that forced hiring for the sake of wokeness working out for ya activision?"

He claimed hiring...

Lad, your argument is basically "Shouldn't hire women because they'll complain if we sexually harass them. lol."

We know that a woman killed herself because of the way she was treated by her male coworkers (look into the details). Alex Afrasiabi is known to have sexually harassed women (he'd have to be pulled off them) in front of colleagues and his suite was nicknamed the "Cosby Suite". He's even in a picture holding a framed picture of...

Tbh, the jump in graphics in PS2/Xbox/GC games and PS3/360 games was still huge and they still brought paradigm shifts.

Most PS1/N64 games aged very rapidly in a way that future generations of games did not. MGS1 aged well, for example, but more camera-dependent games like Tomb Raider had more issues because certain ideas needed better technology and more years to mature.

Games like GTA 3 and MGS2 were mindblowing. Games had suddenly become something so m...

You could be born in the 90s and still have played it when it came out. You don't need to be born before 1986 (10/11+ years old depending on the region) to have played it near launch.

Ridiculously handy for Pro Skater 1 + 2.

You can skip all the splash screens and load up a map in 10-15 seconds.

And you can just pick whatever mode you want to play from the Activity Cards. No time wasting. Would love if more games approached it this way.

Ted, you seem to struggling to hide your dislike of Sony recently.

Like cheering on the Bethesda acquisition because it increases competition and humbles consumers:
"I like to see stuff like this happen to, one, humble people, and two, actually create honest competition between the only two console manufacturers actually going head to head with each other."

And then getting angry at Wolverine being exclusive because that sort of competi...
