"Players who purchase Horizon Forbidden West on PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free."
Seems like there's a loophole to upgrade for free and save $10/€10.
100% agreed on people needing to voice their complaints. We also got to keep the PS3 PS Store because people spoke up.
It's good that we know that there will be a simple €10/$10 upgrade fee for their other cross gen games going forward (GOW2, GT7).
What I don't fully understand is this: "Players who purchase Horizon Forbidden West on PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free."
There's officially a €10 difference in the price between the PS4 and PS5 versions, so ... can we all just buy the PS4 version, get a free upgr...
Hopefully, like the plan to shut down the PS3 PS Store, they'll reverse this bad decision if enough people complain about it. Otherwise, the same thing will happen with GOW2.
And by the time the game launches, who wants the discussion to still be about bad business practices that Guerilla's developers had no say in? Sony need to cop on.
Do you really think a 60fps patch is the reason that Forbidden West got delayed? Jesus
Thought we might get Hitman 2 soon but my guess from months ago about getting The Medium was completely wrong. Oh well, haha.
A solid month though, and it's dope that you can play the Hitman 2 levels in the free Hitman 3 starter pack (basically another free PS5 game for the month) ... I also played the Hitman 1 levels in the free Hitman 2 starter pack. lol.
Far Cry 3 actually was a big change in the formula (Far Cry 2 was very different) but they've changed barely anything since then (2012). It's amazing how little they improved or changed anything in the 9 years since 3. Jesus. At least Blood Dragon was great.
"theres still far more creative, artistic and mechanical differences between bloodborne sekiro and dark souls than all games ND made since crash."
You've just claimed there's a bigger difference between Dark Souls and Bloodborne than there is between Jak & Daxter and The Last Of Us. ffs, this is one of the goofiest comments I've ever read.
Account was also made just 55m ago to troll Naughty Dog games (probably because of TLOU2). ...
Nah. There's a reason people used to always plead for a Bad Company 3 even after those games released - destruction ... which was massively toned down in BF3 and BF4. It was 90% reduced to just being a gimmick.
Rush is also at its best in BC2, and it has fantastic, chaotic maps with very little downtime. I still like BF3 a lot but BC2 was pure fun. BF4 was alright but most of the launch maps were fairly weak.
If you prefer BF3 and BF4, fair enough, ...
It depends on what you're looking for. Destruction was far better in BC2 (it was consistently a real gameplay factor) and the maps were better designed for Rush.
Arica Harbour is a good example of a map that would feel very different as a match progressed as buildings around you were getting decimated.
BF3 had planes, bigger maps and the ability to go prone so I'd understand why some would prefer it. They are different.

"It was a mindless shooter where story and it's world building took a backseat to repetitive shooting galleries"
Sounds more applicable to Bioshock 2, tbh. B2 has wave-based gameplay where Subject Delta casually goes through large hordes of splicers to protect Little Sisters. C'mon. I still wouldn't call any of the Bioshocks mindless shooters though.

Agreed. They seem at least a bit more tolerable than in the CGI trailer but that's really not saying much.
If the game actually acknowledges that they're naive hipsters, and they grow a lot throughout the story as people are killed off and start to act more like a real gang, then it might work. We'll see but at least we can be confident now that the gameplay and customization will be good.

Nope. Did you watch the trailer? There's gadgets added that reduce or speed up travel on foot.
@strayanolog
That short Saints Row 3 trailer is still hilarious. Such an epic build-up just for a guy to get punched in the balls. A perfect teaser for that game. haha
The uwu helmet guy was such a buzz kill. Hated the sense of humour they're going for with that character.
The customization is at least being claimed to be better than the previous games though:
"Express yourself and unleash your inner Saint, with the most advanced suite of customization tools yet seen in an open-world game – make your character, your car and your crew your own."
Yeah, it should be selling more on the Series X than on the XB1, and Xbox sales in general should be significantly higher. This is strange but I think I can explain it:
EA Play still comes as a perk with Game Pass Ultimate, and Madden 2021 came to the Vault on March 2nd this year. Madden 2022 essentially is coming to Game Pass ... roughly around March next year.
I doubt EA thought that Game Pass would do this to their opening week sales (the most profitab...

"TLOU2 fans who just want to hate on the game as some sort of “revenge”"
I think you're projecting a bit there, Foxtrot.
There's no mention of TLOU2 in any of the reviews at all. Wtf?
SR3 and 4 were still fun games, but yeah, I agree that the SR2 style is the right way to go. SR4 went too crazy for them to go any further with that route. Agents of Mayhem and Gat Out of Hell are proof of that. SR2 also did enough different not be classified as a GTA clone anymore.
Since they're "rebooting", I assume that they are going back to the SR2 style - like a cheesy but relatively serious action movie, but also wacky around the edges (in the side act...
They have made some big anti-consumer mistakes (attempting to shut down the PS3 PS Store was another one), but on the other hand, they are pumping out great games just like on the PS4 which didn't happen on the XB1, so it's a bit different.
MS have made less mistakes, but they did have to reverse a crazy plan to try charge $120 for XBL Live Gold (they're going to try increase prices again at some stage).
What people should learn is that if we ...
