It's good to see racing games being successful.
We need more good racing games. Still annoyed that Criterion's Need for Speed game was temporarily shelved for BF 2042 (lol).
I'd like to see some other reviews as well. It's crazy that this is the only one I could find to submit on N4G.
If people want to spend money to own a game that they already got on PS Plus, that's fair enough, but I'm obviously not talking about that.
I think most people who bought the PS5 version after getting FF7 on PS Plus primary wanted 60fps - the graphics are already great on the PS4 Pro version anyway.
It was similar to the Mortal Shell situation. The whole no upgrade through PS Plus thing is nonsense. We're paying for PS Plus - it's not free...
I held off buying this after getting the PS4 PS Plus version because I wanted 60fps, and I've been too busy with other games.
Feel really bad for the people who bought the PS5 version in the meantime (€80 ain't cheap) but I'm VERY happy about this. Merry Christmas, lads.
Fantastic game. Have great memories playing Origins on the Vita.
I will say though, around 2/3s of Origins' levels can actually be unlocked in the even better Rayman Legends which you can find dirt cheap these days.
Legends has so much variety and those music levels are amazing.
This comment is demonstrably not true though. You're projecting a bit.
We saw a huge amount of articles complaining about Spider-Man PS4 and the Spider-Man Avengers DLC being exclusive.
When Bethesda was bought by MS, the US and UK games media conversely celebrated loads of franchises that PS players supported for a long time no longer being available to them. I'd hope we could admit that that's 10 times worse than a DLC. lol.
Also, the Series S version of this demo has a native resolution of 720p that it upscales to 1080p. This early in the gen, that's very concerning. We saw what happened in Metro Exodus where it can fall down to the 500-600p range on the S.
Yeah, I'm not expecting it to be as good as SoTC (one of the best games of all time) but it looks solid and I like that the grapple hook and glider are used in both combat and exploration. It's taking a lot of inspiration from SoTC while having its own identity as well.
It's a bit dodgy when a game launches without reviews but if my expectations are correct then the €30 price is fair. It's supposed to use the adaptive triggers ( 1639d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment
The chap thinks that Keanu Reeves is actually Neo.
I want to see at least a few reviews (none out right now) but this game seems amazing.
I wonder what the adaptive triggers are like when you're holding on for dear life. haha
I know they added in some free missions for new players but I can't believe that they deleted the original Red War campaign out of the game (people bought the game for €70), and are actively deleting DLC that people purchased even including Forsaken which is supposed to very good.
I was going to play the hell out of this game and buy all the DLC because of the 4K 60fps PS5 version, but I can't support a game that will just delete things I've purchased like its n...
This is what people want, Ubisoft. Keychains not blockchains. haha
Not quite as egregious as what happened to It Takes Two, but that's pretty disgusting, tbh.
It's interesting that the article you linked is 4 and half years old - this game has been in development for a long time. haha. I've had it in my wishlist for at least a year I think.
@Gamer79
You misunderstood my comment. It's upscaled to 1080p but I was talking about the "internal resolution" that it's being upscaled from.
39:11 DF point out that the native resolution on PS5 and Series X is 1620p and the native resolution on Series S is "720p-ish or lower".
With an internal resolution that low, a 60fps option realistically isn't feasible for the S even with a lot of optimization. 60f...
The main issue is that the internal resolution on the Series S is 720p so there's not much leeway. If they optimize this enough (it still needs quite a lot of optimization), a 60fps option may be feasible for PS5 and Series X but it simply will not be possible for Series S.
There's a lot more common sense about unions in these comments than normal.
The max dislikes for comments with pro-union sentiment right now is just 1 dislike (e.g. 23:1 for first comment). That's really good to see. It's sad that so many people have been brainwashed to hate unions by people who've been bribed by big business to crush unions.
Haven't played it yet. What is wrong with it?
Not the first time this kind of thing has been done. Days Gone did something similar with one of its patches to drastically reduce the file size although I doubt it was 78GB. Jesus Christ. Didn't know that Siege also did this.
It's insane how much smaller the patch is on PS5 (40GB).
I know a lot of people are down on this game (myself included to some extent) but I've always loved the way the Saints Row games handle side activities and this gameplay looks really fun. They need to show the character creator and the customization though. I suppose they have until August 2022 to show it off.
This work is being used to help the official remaster coming out next year so we're basically getting a partial preview - there will be other improvements on top of this like raytracing.
