@Andrew336
It's funny you say that. The PC community actually already has fixed some basic things that FromSoft couldn't achieve.
There's mods for ultrawide support and unlocking the framerate that were added in a day. lol
@CyberSentinel
"Why do CoD games sell then?"
As I said, "brand recognition is arguably more important" than quality. Once you've built up a fanbase and heavily advertised your product over a period of time, brand recognition can sustain you just as much as the quality of individual releases. .
"Too bad sales say, you all don’t know wtf your talking about."
Call Of Duty games are the best selling games every year - sales evidently do not equal quality (brand recognition is arguably more important). In terms of quality, COD games are far from the glory days of the franchise and also need a break (rumoured next year, thankfully).
Sony likely won't have the big games day 1 though unless they're making a u-turn from their previously rumoured plans. Apparently, a big focus will be on classic games.
Putting your $50m-150m games on a subscription can only be profitable past a huge number of subscribers. Hard to know how exactly that number is but if Netflix has 221m subscribers and only made more money than they were burning fairly recently, it's hard to imagine that 25m GamePass subscribers ...
How did review sites not at least mention these issues?
It's like they knew that they'd look unreasonable if they explained how poor the performance is on every platform (to varying degrees) and then proceeded to award the game a perfect score anyway, so they decided to just omit it from their reviews.
It's dodgy and a bit unprofessional, tbh. A game doesn't need to be perfect to achieve a perfect score, sure, but this stuff needs to be in...
The load times are literally 3 times longer on the Series X than in the PS5 version. I'm not exaggerating - it's actually that bad. That's not a nitpick, lad. lol. And everyone is in agreement that the framerate is worse as well.
Most people don't yet have VRR-capable TVs. The port itself needs to be good.
I hope that Ukrainians hold out as long as possible and make it extremely difficult for Russia to occupy their country.
Easier said than done though. Ideally, the sanctions would cripple Russia's economy and make the oligarchs turn on Putin but with Russia's efforts to be self-sufficient and and Russia's ties with China, that outcome seems unlikely.
Why are people even disagreeing with me? The native PS5 version genuinely has the same crowd density as the Series X whereas the PS4 Pro version running in BC is where it had the lower crowd density. Read the article as well.
I don't disagree that the PS5 version would have similar framerate issues if they increased the resolution. I'm just pointing out misinformation, and if I've missed something, leave a reply.
The native PS5 version has the same NPC count. He says that the PS5 and Series X are standardized for the crowd density now (23:41).

"but more in screen npc", "more populated areas".

The difference in NPC count was before this patch.
It's always sad when someone gets kicked in the head by a horse. My condolences.
The greatest question of all. They are rumoured to be ... announcing it this year. lol. I hope that means it's coming out this year as well.

Pretty sure they're trying to figure out a way to get people to double-dip.
I'm not surprised she was fired (brand risk) but I find one thing very peculiar.
A huge amount of the time when there are incidents like this where someone tells meanspirited jokes (often racist or sexist) and then get fired as a result, people call it cancel culture, an attack on free speech, and say that people need to lighten up and that society is crumbling (lol). And the jokes are often way worse than this.
Where is the consistency? Cancel cultur...
A different studio is handling The Witcher 3 port (Saber Interactive).
CrossfireX makes BF 2042 look like a masterpiece. It's that bad.
@roadkillers
Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 20 million, and only 3 other PS exclusives (Spider-Man, God Of War, The Last Of Us 1) have officially managed to achieve that so far, although Uncharted 4 probably has as well. All big existing IPs besides TLOU1, which Horizon has sold a lot faster than. https://mobile.twitter.com/...

I hope they don't trade fully realised characters for bland custom characters. Does anyone actually care about their custom character in GTA Online compared to Niko, Tommy, Trevor, etc?
Unless GTA6 is an RPG where you get to make choices and make the character your own (in that case, the custom characters wouldn't be bland), it would be a huge downgrade in quality for a superficial upgrade in features.
With multiple playable characters, they can j...
Strongly disagree. Custom characters would make the main character(s) way blander and their story less personal than previous games.
Unless your game is an RPG where you get to make loads of choices and role-play, the trade-off isn't worth it all. I'd never trade an amazing character like John Marston for that.
They can just do multiple characters again and one of the characters can be a woman.
Tbh, it would probably feel a bit weird if they didn't get the original writer for the games. I just checked and his name is Daniel Arey. He works at Google now: https://www.linkedin.com/in...
Insomniac also toned down the R&C games a lot over time as they got away from the edgy (for a kids franchise) 90s/early-mid 2000s style ... and that's pretty much Jak 2 and 3. l...
You shouldn't have to buy an expensive TV on top of the €500 you paid for your console just to avoid frame stutters either. What percentage of Series X|S players do you really think have VRR-enabled TVs? Adoption of VRR TVs is still quite low, and they are typically on the higher end (expensive).
VRR is not a factor for the vast majority of people, so the options you get on PS5 are better (a superior native version, or a locked 60fps on the PS4 Pro version) although the...
