No. 4K gaming existed before the XB1S. The title of the article is incorrect is all people are trying to say. Scorpio isn't "finishing" anything, either. It's actually very late to an on-going party.
What about the "fanboys" that game on PC and have already had access to 4K? Point: Scorpio won't be "starting" anything. It's just a mid-gen upgrade with very nice specifications for a 2017 home console.
By having a slightly better looking version of GTA? Don't twiddle your thumbs on this one.
Since I can play native 4K games on another console, and could do so BEFORE this thing was ever properly unveiled, no. It started already. Again, late to the party.
4K Gaming has existed for quite a while. Xbox is late to the party, but the party has been going on.
Or the victim-claiming begin. Take your pick. Just be happy the damned thing has finally had a proper reveal instead of looking for someone else's opinion, that you'll never meet, to dictate your current day's feelings.
OT: The specs are, indeed, very impressive. I just want some software, and only available on the Scorpio, before I let hype take over!
Bingo.
Nope. Both games AREN'T terrible.
"XBOX is probably the most discussed console on this site..."
No.
OT: Well, once we start seeing some games (and hearing about release dates/windows), there will be something to excite everyone again.
To be more popular, you have to be in more homes and more widely known.
So are you arguing that Forza is now more popular than Need for Speed? If so, how can that be? Metascores aren't enough and "consistency" doesn't instantly make it a bigger seller, nor a more popular IP. And the last "great Need for Speed is irrelevant when talking about the magnitude and scope of an IP.
@ Septic: Please refrain from speaking to me. You are as b...
"How Forza overtook Need for Speed to become the world's biggest racing IP"
Yeah, seems to me like the title (and article) back up what I'm saying. Yes, there are arguments to other things in the piece (if you read the whole thing), but his bottom line is outlined in the title. He sees Forza as a bigger IP than Need for Speed. That is objectively incorrect. '
Then take this part:
"The performance of Horizon 3 ...
Article has nothing to do with sales? Really? Then how is Forza a "bigger IP" than Need for Speed? Or Gran Turismo, for that matter? What does "bigger" signify? Bigger = amount. Making it measurable. That's not an opinion.
"Delusional Fanboy". That's the difference between you and I - I don't have to call you names to prove a point and ran laps around your stilted argument. While you were busy trying to prove which franchise was "better", I stuck to the facts. Regarding sales, what the article is about, GT is far, FAR ahead of Forza.
Try to disprove that instead of side-stepping with cries of who's "delusional".
GT hasn't been good since the PS2? Yeah, I'm sure. As an actual owner of the games, I completely disagree.
Add another one who'll just come in to argue something totally irrelevant when discussing sales.
When discussing sales, it's SUPPOSED to be based on facts.
This is the, literal, definition of ignorance. How can it do that when it remains MILES behind the GT franchise?
Well said.
Indeed. Right him off and keep it moving!
OT: Uncharted 4 continues to rake in the awards! Brilliant!
By that same token, do you think Sony hasn't been working on anything?
