Your general point wasn't being argued against. Slim consoles and Pro consoles shouldn't be lumped together as they aren't the same hing and the former have been around for generations. That was my point.

OT: Of course they do. The recent release of the groundbreaking Horizon: Zero Dawn just proves that Sony lets their companies step out of their shells and try something new! Very much why they remain my favorite of the big 3!
Well, you said "S" consoles. The X1S is simply a slimmer Xbox One with virtually the same internals. Not too different from previous Slim consoles. The Pro and Scorpio are new types of consoles, the PS4 Slim and X1S are not.
We've been getting "S" consoles since the SNES got a smaller revision. That's nothing new. The "Pro" versions of consoles may be a thing next gen, but nothing is guaranteed on that front..
Yep, right here on N4G. I know I've seen "why there may never be a PS4" or something to that effect.
Killzone 2 was anything BUT horrible! In fact, it put the franchise on the map for me. Its subsequent sequels may not have been as good (though I still liked both of them, particularly Shadowfall), but Killzone 2 is, rightfully, a favorite for many people!
I'm sure they've learned a new trick or two from Horizon. I expect great things from the next installment in the Killzone series.
This will be one of those "point-and-laugh-at" articles when the next gen PlayStation arrives. It's just a new way of saying that "consoles are doomed".

Um, Killzone is a successful franchise. They'll return to it and that's a good thing. Horizon's success doesn't make it irrelevant.

Since not a single one of you naysayers has answered any of the presented and logical questions, I don't think it's PS4 fans that are hurt.
When you can name even ONE PS4 game that you can treat like UWP games, then this discussion can head down your preferred path. Until then, I'll just continue to look forward to "Disagrees" from ill-informed N4G users.

So now I ask, what SCEi games can you play that don't require a PS4?
Why would they say that? Their exclusives are.....still exclusive. Or are you going to argue that streaming removes the need for the original device?
I'd point and laugh at those who think they'll be able to do away with their PlayStation systems in favor of this service, but it's more saddening than comedic.

2. All of a sudden, people really think this is good for gaming - having all games on PC, lessening the need for a home console. I just don't get this line of thinking.
