I don't know if I'd call it a "generational leap" over the base models, but a substantial leg up, for certain.
We do, but there are less of them.
If he plans on playing it "the way it's meant to be played", then he needs to be on PC, anyway. ;P
Otherwise, the One X version sounds like quite the update!
I do wish they had gone more in-depth about how the One X version stacks up against the PC release. But otherwise, this will be Xbox vs PS2 all over again. The One X versions, in most cases, should stand head-and-shoulders above the Pro iterations.
Like I said, @ 4K, the difference wouldn't be as big, but the X version would still take it. I'm just saying the video is pointless to use for any kind of realistic comparison.
One of the most annoying things about a new console (or upgraded) launching in today's world. You'll see much more negativity surrounding it than anything else. We've had at least 5 articles on the "doom-and-gloom" of this thing.
The Pro isn't running in 4K in the vid. So that's a useless reference. The screenshots display a better look at the situation. It was fairly close, but the Xbox One X version still took it.
Do you mean the video or screenshots for Tomb Raider?
Going by the vid, I agree. The One X version looks the best. However, to keep it consistent, we'd need to see it compared to PS4 Pro in 4K (although I expect the same result: Xbox One X > PS4 Pro). The bigger deal is the fact that the finer details (AF, SSAO, Texture Filtering) look superior on the Xbox One X than even the PC (again, just going by the vid).
Doesn't require $500. It's a free upgrade to existing owners and $20 for people who don't own it. It also won't require the One X to spot the differences.
I mean, why moan about fixes?
DE looks FAR better! Well done!
A lot of things are "unlike last gen" for PlayStation. So I wouldn't worry about it.
It could be nothing more than a GT Sport Pro Bundle.
I'm thinking a Gran Turismo Limited Edition Pro Bundle.
Good points.
For those mentioning the Pro, it wasn't in the Xbox's situation. The PS4 is the market leader and the Pro is simply a better option. But, while I'm not one to champion the idea that the Xbox One X "NEEDS" a launch title, I can see parts of where the idea has validity. This thing should make a good splash and put Xbox back on the map in a big way. I expect the holiday to be very good to it, but the months after are going to be where the real test begins.
The GPU would also need work. It's relatively powerful for an 8th generation console, but for next? Nah. I'd expect something with considerably more prowess.
Uh.................NO! They shouldn't.
Edit: Actually giving it a second read, he raises a few good points. However, it's late. Now that the pre-orders and date have been set, it would feel like a slap in the face to fans who have been waiting since last year to get their hands on this thing!
thisgengaming....
Always trying to stir up trouble. Just be happy for the console.
You said "generational leap" over both the X1 and PS4, though. If you were just talking the former, then maybe.
