I remember it's online being good fun but then it became a cesspit of arseholes making the experience a complete misery with their aggression, racism and general obnoxious swearing and shouting. It really way the peak of stereotypical 360 online teenageer douchebaggery 😂

I found it to be toe curlingly boring, to the point that after 3 or 4 hours I decided to uninstall it from my PC, I couldn't even recommend it to someone if they had access to Gamepass. There are so many more games which are deserving of your time.
I think the series just failed to iterate as time moved on and, for me anyway, whilst I still really enjoyed 4 and 5, they were a little too familiar in the gameplay department.
I have gamed on PC for almost 30 years at this point and whilst things have definitely improved in respect of reliability and ease of use, I cannot help but wonder if we will ever get to a place where games run consistently well without having to tweak this or that setting.
I realise there are a million configurations out there, and I guess it's worse now then even 20 years ago because there are even more diverse component manufactures to consider.
Here's a hot take for ya, Fable as a franchise is overrated! 1st game was quite middling, 2nd game was better if you like RPGs for kids and the 3rd game was quite poor. Genuinely never understood the hype for such a mediocre franchise.
Even better news, if you are showing that much patience, you can simply wait for the games to drop on PS5 instead 😀
I have been generally really happy with the upgrade. My favourite game of the last 5 years+ is Elden Ring and that game runs like a dream on Pro.
I agree in general, but it would be great to have all the games at least upscaled, even better if they were remastered though.
I think a GOW remastered collection is near the top of the list for me, it would be amazing if Sony went the full monty and included the handheld games and GOW Ascension too. I'd happily hand over 70 quid for a full collection like that.
If you can find a base PS5 AND a Steamdeck for 660 quid in the UK, then I might agree, that would represent a better option....what do you think the chances of finding that combo for the same price as a Pro is?

As you correctly point out, Demons Souls was incredibly niche at the time so it's not a surprise that Sony were cautious about investing huge amounts into advertising and support etc.
I suspect Ryan felt a little threatened by having such legendary people around him. Rather than embrace that experience he pushed it away, it's easier to do what you want when there are no dissenting voices around the boardroom table.
I think going back to Japanese leadership is precisely the right move at this point. Japanese companies are still very corporate of course, but Japanese businesses care about reputation and customer satisfaction etc., in general, there is a 'right way' to make money.
The reality is, we know very little about the new leadership (other than Hulst of course), but they may well turn out to be the next Yoshida with a little luck.

I just reinstalled Returnal and started a fresh save as I haven't played it since near launch. Game still holds up, it's incredible!
I can understand someone expressing a preference for different games, we all like different things, but to describe a game that is clearly brilliant as 'shit' is just plain cretinous.
I am not so sure, many were sceptical of Gamepass and were aware that Xbox weren't shifting consoles in the numbers needed. I think many saw the potential for this kind of outcome the financial viability of Gamepass has always been debated.
I really enjoyed getting the plat in Days Gone and would love an excuse to replay the game. Very few games where I have gone from thinking a character was shite to loving them, but boy did I care about Boozer by the time I rolled credits.

Same here Luka, one of the rare times where I wanted to keep playing even after I had earned the platinum....its usually the case I am grinding out a platinum and wanting the thing done with, but not with Death Stranding. This video has made me really excited for the sequel and has also made me consider a replay of the first game.
