I've mentioned it before, but if the shareholders get reminded of how much cash can be made actually selling games, I do wonder if they eventually asking even tougher questions about the viability of GamePass.
The usual extremist on N4G can spout nonsense about PS gamers funding GamePass users all they want, but it may become impossible for shareholders to ignore direct comparisons between wads of cash from PS users and 'engagement figures' from a stagnating Ga...
Also, not to mention the damage done to the industry by devaluing games and conditioning people to not buy games.
Its more difficult to quantify but there are plenty of examples showing Xbox gamers buying a fraction of total sales of games.
2010 was 15 years ago duder🤦
This reminds me of how some are retrospectively thinking George W Bush wasn't so thick after all as a result of the current sorry state of affairs 😂
Are you suggesting MarioKart World doesn't warrant an 8/10? That seems a fair score to me.
They offered assurances in the US and to the EU that their mergers would not result in any lay offs in order to get the deals over the line. Are you seriously defending MS?
Literally just bought Cyberpunk an hour before this announcement on a Prime deal...
Ahhh well, great month for sure!
Anything of merit released by Xbox Studios in the last 2 years or so was bought by MS and was already coming to Xbox platforms anyway.
MS have produced almost nothing that they themselves have nurtured and created, so please spare us all the "Xbox made games' nonsense.
There is no dispute that Sony dropped the ball this generation but they are clearly shifting focus back towards what made them popular, high quality single player experiences. Hav...
The American based games media in particular have always run cover for Xbox, it's a bit late to be asking if they can trust MS ever again!
I would point out that the main reason their games dropped off was because of external pressure to litter the games with microtransactions and DLC
@CrazyCoconuts
Name one industry or area of trade where corporate bullshit and hyper capitalism isn't in full effect.
Nothing new, MS have always operated in the same manner regardless of the area of trade they are operating in.
I simply cannot fathom how anyone is surprised by any of this.
How the hell is anyone surprised by any of this news.....blows my mind!
It won't make a shred of difference dude. Xbox' issue is that it is run by MS.
The main reason for me would be to borrow games to my family members which I do regularly. But otherwise I agree, may as well go digital.
What the hell are you talking about? It has nothing to do with how profitable they are. Its completely cultural, MS and Sony make stacks of cash and still lay folks off. Nintendo chose not to lay off staff for the same reason their execs took pay cuts to increase staff pay instead; because they value their staff and view them as colleagues, and respect them as such.
If Sony weren't so US centric I fancy they'd fare better too, they should get shot of US and Euro...
The only thing this game enhanced was my sleeping pattern. Honestly one of the most boring games I've ever played.
Ahhhh don't apologise mate, nice to see folks excited like this.
Really excited for this game but you must be nuts to cough up to some scrote hocking a copy on Ebay for an inflated price for the sake of waiting a couple of days.
