I disagree, it's simple economics for me. They have slowly gotten Xbox fanatics used to the idea of their games on PS.
At some point, MS are going to go day and date simply because of the costs involved in marketing a game twice if they don't. It's just a matter if when MS feel they have gotten the hard-core Xbox fans onside.
Playstation gamers get the games, Sony get their 30% cut as the platform holder....seems like Sony and their customers are doing very well out of MS no matter how Obscure wants to spin it.
As someone who doesn't like rogue-likes or poker, I would really encourage folks to play Bolatro, I played it on PC and it is absolutely brilliant. Perfect to have installed as a palate cleanser in between games.
You know, you could just say that it didn't resonate with you rather than stating it 'deserved every 6/10 it got'. Opinions are subjective squire, being so absolute about stuff other people liked seems unnecessarily rude.
Bethesda's rpg games always did get a free pass from reviewers when it came to their technical short comings, seems nowt has changed in this regard even when development is handed off to a 3rd party.
They are incredible looking statues but waaaay outta my budget. This story does really make me want to replay SB though, I always fancied doing a NG+ to mop up a few trophies for the plat.
What a flipping brilliant game!!
Should keep me busy until my Switch 2 arrives. 2025 has shaped up to be a really enjoyable year so far.
Because Sony get 30% of the sale on their platform for zero financial risk or effort. Seems like Sony are doing okay out of the game's release to me 🤔
I am torn because on the one hand I dislike supporting MS but on the other, I like many of the studios they bought.
Ultimately, I will chose to put the welfare of the studios above anything else so I will look to buy Indy, but the physical disk situation really has cooled my desire to pick it up day one.
As a physical collector this is very disappointing, I can see me hanging on for a sale for sure.
I already own both games on PS5 as they are amongst my fave games. I understand the discussion around Sony's release of the games but I will say, it seems like an understandable and sensible business decision to release this double pack on just as Season 2 of the TV shows.
I am not sure how much explicit than 'Exlusively available on Nintendo Switch 2" the language needs to be. Seems to be a good dollop of wishful thinking going on.
I mean, if he is as excited for the handheld as he was for Redfall then things should shape up quite well 👍
I have seen speculation that the Japanese region locked Switch 2 is designed to address concerns over the weak Yen. The currency is so weak at present that it would be worthwhile buying it in Japan and paying to import it to another region.
Not defending Nintendo here, I agree that they have been very greedy in many ways.
Not quite with you on your preference for Abbie, although I did really like her character and arc, but agree with you on everything else. The sequel is an absolutely stellar title!
"We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid"...never a truer word spoken!
Wow, I always fail to appreciate there are skilled and informed economists lurking around the N4G comment sections
Please, tell me more about how the US economy has floundered as a consequence of the rest of the world ripping them off!
Ordinarily, I may have given Nintendo the benefit of the doubt over their decision in regards to the screen, especially seeing as the screen still seems pretty great (120fps, HDR etc).
However, with their pretty transparent greed that has been demonstrated throughout the announcements over the last couple of days, it is hard not to suspect this decision was taken purely to offer an avenue to explore in 4 years time when they try and sell us all an OLED version.
...
How anyone can try and spin charging for this tech demo as a positive is beyond me. I cannot help but reflect on how PS5 gave us Astrobot as a tech demo and the huge amount of good will that generated for Sony.
What the hell are Nintendo thinking? I must say, whilst I am hyped for the system and the games shown, Nintendo's naked greed is really taking the shine off everything. As a Nintendo fan, it is really disappointing.
The terms 'Xbox' and 'physical collection' don't belong in the same sentence!
