I was surprised to read that It Takes Two is the most awarded platform game before Astro came along, is this right?
It has little to do with power and everything to do with complex architecture. It is also one thing for a YouTuber to release a few vids of select games running, it is completely another for a company to release a commercial product which must be completely reliable.
Having platinumed Ghost on each of my PSN accounts, I can say I am a huge fan of GoT and for me, Yotei probably is my most anticipated.
And this is why the human race will one day be at the mercy of our AI overlords 🤣
Rather than use the most elementary of research or critical thinking, folk like 46Player will talk as if they are even remotely informed when they are in fact, imbeciles.
So you are just going to ignore what is commonly accepted as fact, that the architecture of PS3 makes reliable back compatibility extremely difficult?
Obscure gets his arse handed to him in the above comments and has to go into hiding again and all of a sudden, a suspiciously new account named Traxatin starts posting......I smell an alt account! 🤣
Its at this point that Obscure disappears for a couple of days after making himself look like a complete plum again!!! :D
They haven't got there development act together though, they simply bought half of the industry up. These games would still have released and would have been accessible to Xbox players anyway, except now, Xbox get to profit for doing fuck all in the way of creative effort within the industry.
You can repeat it as much as you want Qraneh, folks aren't stupid and can see the clear distinction between Sony' business model and the corner Xbox find themselves backed into. Still, if it makes you feel better keep lying to yourself squire.
Loved the art direction in the game, hopefully the production values are matched by some good game design. Hopefully it turns out well, I'll be sure to pick it up on PS5 if it does.
I played it on Xbox back on release and enjoyed it well enough, my biggest criticism was that it got quite repetitive by the time you get 3/4 of the way through. In general though, I'd agree that folks who missed it aren't missing something 'essential'!
I don't think there is a perception that character platforms a 'beneath them', I just think that mainstream gaming tastes have changed and these types of games are perhaps less popular (and therefore more risky). The odd one will break through like Mario or Astrobot, but they simply don't sell as well as a AAA action game. I doubt a Jak games sells 10 to 20 million copies for instance.
Yeah, 2 was incredible but I think 4 pips it to the post for me.
Indy has been announced as releasing on PS5 in the spring dude. You have no chance of Sunset Overdrive getting released in my opinion, it just wouldn't be worth the financial risk given the general lack of interest.
Tell me you didn't watch the video without telling me you didn't watch the video!
Absolutely busting to play this game, just gotta finish my Wukong play through first. 2024 was fantastic for great games.
Hopefully John, whilst I was never really a Fable fan I obviously want any developer to knock it out of the park and crank out brilliant games.
Have a great Christmas and a great 2025👍
I agree in general, but the quality of the games also counts for something and frankly, Xbox have been nowhere near Sony and Ninty in that department for 15 years.
I agree Whizz, this feels like a pause before a bunch of announcements for Switch 2.
Ahhhh Obscure, a bot farm in human form! The idea you can someone else hypocritical is bonkers!
