I think some of the principles behind it are right, but perhaps the implementation is not so good.
There has been so much research into the damaging effect accessing 'adult' content has on young children. The ease of access for kids to porn and even worse, all kinds of violence and gore, let alone the damage social media causes does need addressing in view.
Really enjoyed mine since getting it at launch. The 80 hours or so replaying BotW were an absolute blast, about 25 hours into MarioKart and about 15 hours into Donkey Kong so far has also been immense fun.
For me, when it comes to pure gameplay Nintendo seem to always deliver for me. Having games like Donkey Kong to play for a few hours to break up bigger commitments such as my current playthrough of Black Myth Wolong just gives my much to enjoy.
Great game, the thing I was most surprised by was how good the combat felt, easily the best melee combat I have experienced in a first person shooter.

I suspect it's more a case of MS pulling back on spending in the gaming sector and whilst they could kill their own projects, there were likely contractual obligations which meant they had to proceed with this device.
Had my Splatoon themed Pro controller for 7 years and it is bullet proof, even now I can go weeks without a recharge. So far the Switch2 controller has been just the same.
Compared to the Xbox and Playstation controllers I have had to replace, Nintendo's have been much more reliable.
The only silver lining in all this is that Obscure must have been laid off by Xbox too; I haven't seen him here for a little while now😅
I don't understand why there is such a drive towards handheld gaming. Even the most popular handheld PC, the Steam Deck, only has a fraction of the sales of conventional consoles and PC, so why is every man and their dog racing to put out a competing device.
I just can't help but wonder if there is enough consumer interest to support all of these competing handheld PC products.
Erm, I am a Sony gamer who got the Pro on launch day.....no gripes from me, it was exciting to see some of my fave games running at even better resolutions and frame rates.
SWAT 3 and 4 were really great back in the day.
